Here’s the thing about staying near Leipzig’s Neue Messe — you’re actually in a pretty smart spot if you’re here for business or want easy access to the trade fair grounds. I mean, it’s literally a few minutes away, which is why this place stays busy with conference-goers. But even if you’re just exploring Leipzig, the tram connections aren’t bad at all. You can get into the city center in about 20 minutes, and there’s parking right on-site, which honestly saved me a headache since driving in Leipzig’s old town can be… well, let’s just say it’s not my favorite thing.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what I needed after a long day — clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious for a business hotel. The beds here are actually really good (I’m picky about mattresses), and the blackout curtains work properly, which you’d be amazed how many places get wrong. The bathroom was modern with a decent shower, though nothing particularly memorable. What I did appreciate was how quiet everything was — you’re not dealing with street noise or slamming doors all night, which made for solid sleep.

The restaurant serves up solid German fare — nothing groundbreaking, but the kind of hearty, well-prepared food that hits the spot when you’re tired from traveling. Breakfast was actually pretty impressive with a good spread of local and international options. I spent some time in their spa area too, which has a nice sauna that’s perfect for unwinding. It’s not huge or elaborate, but sometimes you just want to relax without all the fuss, you know?

What really works about Bei Meyers is that it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Couples seem to really appreciate the peaceful atmosphere — I can see why it gets high marks for romantic getaways since you’re away from the hustle but still connected to everything.   Die Zimmer waren wirklich riesig und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Ich hatte ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne! Es gab einen kleinen Tisch mit zwei Stühlen, einen Kleiderschrank und sogar einen kleinen Balkon.

  The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was nicely renovated to a modern bathroom.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately I didn’t receive any information before we got to the accommodation which lead to some complications. We couldn’t get into the room so we had to wait outside for some time.

  Nice appartment with a small kitchen, comfortabele beds and shower, friendly owners.
  
  What could be improved: In the description it says 'private parking' which is not the case. You have to park in the street which was not very easy in our case. We actually booked this appartment for the private parking as we were travelling to the Czech Republic with a car full camping stuff. Finding out there was no private parking was therefore a big dissappointment. Kitchen could be more comfortable when adding a cutting board an cutting knife.

  What could be improved: The "getting keys" process. You have to find the right number (there are 2 or 3 buildings with the same address). However, I might just have missed the subletters. Then when you get there, you need to call them and wait on a passcode via SMS to get your key from the one building. Then go to another building where your actual room is. Not a pain, but not ideal either. And maybe I missed it in the email, but I don't remember anything about them informing us to call when we get there.
