You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment rental on Arthur-Hoffmann-Straße – honestly, the name alone sounds pretty corporate – but “Arthur” completely surprised me. It’s tucked into this quiet residential stretch in Mitte, maybe a 12-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, and the whole vibe is just… refreshingly normal. Not trying to be some Instagram-perfect space, just a really well-thought-out place to stay.

The balcony is legitimately quiet, which I mean, that’s rare for Leipzig’s city center. You’re close enough to everything that matters – there’s a decent bakery two blocks down that locals actually use, and you can walk to the old town in about fifteen minutes if you don’t mind the slight uphill stretch near the end. The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property. The kitchen’s got everything you’d actually need (sharp knives! proper coffee maker! enough counter space to spread out groceries), and there’s this lived-in comfort that makes you want to stay an extra night. I particularly loved the morning routine – grabbing coffee and sitting on that balcony, watching the neighborhood wake up without any of the tourist chaos you get closer to Marktplatz.

What really sold me on the place was the attention to practical details. Check-in was smooth, parking isn’t a nightmare if you have a car (there’s usually street spots within a block or two), and the WiFi actually works consistently – which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but you’d be surprised. The 8.7 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not flashy enough to hit a 9, but there’s genuinely nothing to complain about, and the location hits that sweet spot where you feel like you’re living in Leipzig rather than just visiting it. Perfect if you want to explore the city without dealing with hotel breakfast crowds or tourist-trap restaurants right outside your door.

  Super location – everything you need is just around the corner. Most of the attractions in the city are easy to get to. The apartment is pretty big so you have lots of room and you have a bathtub and a balcony. 🙂

  Der CheckIn ist problemlos. Parkplätze findet man kostenfrei vor der Tür und kann dann super Bus und S-Bahn nutzen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten findet man in der Nähe sowie viele Restaurants in der Karlie. Es war sauber und die Betten bequem. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig. Die Heizung funktioniert. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter lief problemlos und sehr freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
  
  What could be improved: Es waren einige Dinge in der Wohnung kaputt, die aber vom Vermieter ausgetauscht bzw. repariert werden sollen. Die Schränke in der Wohnung sind mit Utensilien des Vermieters belegt. Eine freie Kommode steht leer zur Verfügung.

  Waren für 4 Tage da.Wohnung hat uns sehr gefallen, alles da was das Herz begehrt. Sauber und ordentlich. Gute Öffis Anbindungen.
