I mean, the name literally translates to apartment in German, which honestly sets pretty modest expectations — but this four-star property in Leipzig delivers something much more sophisticated. Located on Koburger Straße in the Süd district, it’s one of those places where you immediately understand why couples rate the location so highly (8.8 out of 10, actually). The building has this understated elegance that feels authentically German without trying too hard.

You know what I love about staying in Leipzig’s Süd area? It’s got this perfect balance — close enough to the city center that you’re not stuck in some suburban wasteland, but far enough out that you actually get to experience how locals live. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality with tree-lined streets and that mix of renovated and original architecture that makes Leipzig so visually interesting. There’s a reason couples specifically love this spot — it’s got that romantic, walkable vibe without the tourist crowds you’d find closer to the Marktplatz.

The Space Itself

The room setup here really lives up to that apartment concept. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel boxes — you get actual living space that feels like someone’s well-designed home rather than a corporate accommodation. The interiors strike this nice balance between modern functionality and German design sensibilities (think clean lines but with some warmth). What really sold me was the attention to practical details — proper lighting for reading, enough surface space for your stuff, and windows that actually open properly.

Practical Perks

Here’s something that’ll matter if you’re driving — they’ve got private parking available, which honestly is a huge relief in Leipzig where street parking can be a bit of a nightmare. The whole setup feels designed by people who actually travel and know what’s annoying about most hotels. The staff operates more like helpful neighbors than formal hotel employees, which fits the whole apartment concept perfectly. I found myself actually relaxing here instead of just sleeping between sightseeing sessions. The kitchenette is well-equipped for preparing light meals and snacks.

Why Guests Love It

That 8.1 overall rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be flashy or impress you with unnecessary amenities — instead, it just does the fundamentals really well. The location gives you easy access to Leipzig’s cultural scene (the Gewandhaus and opera house aren’t far), but you’re staying somewhere that feels like a real neighborhood. Couples especially seem to appreciate the space and privacy you get here — it’s intimate without being isolated, and there’s something genuinely romantic about having your own little corner of Leipzig to come back to each evening.

  Nähe zum Schulungsort (ich war zu einer Weiterbildung in Leipzig), gut Platz (hohe Decke), modernes Badezimmer, sicherer Parkplatz
  
  What could be improved: es war an zwei Abenden ein wenig laut vom Jugendzentrum nebenan. Da ich auch arbeiten musste, war es etwas ungünstig, dass kein WLAN inkludiert war, aber das war ja vorab bekannt.

  Die Einweisung in die Wohnung hat super geklappt. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet, und hat Charme. Ich war vor Ort um im Conne Island ein Konzert zu besuchen. Dafür war die Lage Ideal, etwa 5 min Fußweg und ich war dort. Die Küche ist einfach aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet Ich kann die Wohnung zu 100 Prozent weiterempfehlen.
  
  What could be improved: Die Fernbedienung des Fernsehers spinnt etwas. Ein paar Tasten sind festgeklemmt und ich musste eine Zeit lang verschiedene Tasten probieren ehe er anging. Dann könnte man aber Problemlos mit der Fernbedienung des Receiver umschalten.

  Die Wohnung war für meinen Aufenthalt perfekt.
  Sehr netter Vermieter, alles sauber, Bad mit Dusche ausreichend und modern eingerichtet, Doppelbett sehr bequem und in der Küche auch alles notwendige vorhanden.
  Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Man ist mit den Öffis schnell in der Stadt und hat dazu den Auwald samt Wildpark praktisch gleich hinterm Haus.
  Dass es kein WLAN gibt, find ich nicht schlimm, kann man ja im vorhinein in der Beschreibung nachlesen.
  Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen, vielen Dank und gerne wieder 😃

  Wir fanden es super, gut ausgestattetes Appartement am Rande von Connewitz. Man ist direkt im Conne Island und in Connewitz und der Wildpark direkt vor der Tür…. Es war alles vorhanden,alles sauber und unkompliziert… Wir kommen wieder
