Okay, so Villa 18 isn’t actually a villa in the traditional sense – it’s more like a really well-done apartment rental that happens to have one of those ridiculously long German names that tries to tell you everything at once. But honestly? The name delivers on its promises. I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from Leipzig Zoo, which sounds touristy until you realize the zoo here is actually incredible, and the Kongresszentrum is right there too. The location on Trufanowstraße puts you in this sweet spot where you can walk to the city center without dealing with all the noise and chaos of being right in the thick of things.

What really got me about this place was the garden view they mention – it’s not some tiny courtyard situation, but actually looks out onto proper greenery that makes you forget you’re in the middle of a city. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room, which I know some people hate but I actually love. There’s real attention to detail here, like the kind of coffee setup that suggests someone actually drinks coffee (not those sad single-serve machines), and the bathroom has decent water pressure, which… well, if you’ve stayed in enough European apartments, you know that’s not always a given. The whole place has this 9.8 rating, and honestly, I can see why – it’s one of those spots where you can tell someone actually cares about the guest experience rather than just cramming in as many bookings as possible.

You know what really sold me on this place though? The proximity to everything without feeling like you’re staying in a tourist trap. Yeah, you can walk to the ARENA Leipzig and the Messe (trade fair grounds) easily, which is probably why it has that whole long name situation going on, but you’re also near actual neighborhoods where people live. There’s this great little bakery around the corner that I stumbled onto – the kind of place where they look at you funny if you don’t speak German, but the bread is absolutely worth it. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in German city centers will appreciate. I mean, it’s still a city so don’t expect a massive driveway, but they’ve sorted it out better than most places. The whole Mitte district has this energy where you feel connected to what’s happening in Leipzig without being overwhelmed by it, and Villa 18 captures that perfectly.

• Tolle Wohnung fast im Herzen Leipzig – Tina from Germany – 12 July 2025 (10/10)

  Die Wohnung ist riesig, ist perfekt ausgestattet und hat eine tolle Lage. Wir waren in nur wenigen Minuten mit den Rädern im Zentrum. Zudem ist rund um die Wohnung ein Supermarkt und tolle Gastronomie. Herr Rost hat uns supernett empfangen und wieder verabschiedet:) Wir würden jederzeit diese Wohnung wieder buchen….dann aber länger als nur 2 Nächte:)

  Die Lage ist super. 5 Restaurants in der Nähe. Konsum und Bäcker um die Ecke. Alles fußläufig. Auch mit dem fahrrad ideal. In der nähe Einstieg in den Auepark.

  Super Lage, schöner Balkon mit Morgensonne, Wohnung liebevoll eingerichtet, man kann sich wie zuhause fühlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
  Zentral in die Stadt, zum Zoo, aber auch zur Messe.
  
  What could be improved: Parkplätze nur an der Straße, diese sind zwar kostenlos, aber mitunter muss man einen weiteren Weg in Ankauf nehmen

  Alles. Diese Ferienwohnung ist absolut empfehlenswert!
  Herr Rost ist ein freundlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber mit Herz und Seele, der seine Stadt sehr gut kennt.
  Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer schnuckeligen und ruhigen Villengegend, ideal, Zoo und Zentrum sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Straßenbahnhaltestellen, Bäcker, Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Wohnung selber ist ein Schmuckstück. Alles ist neu, modern und stilvoll. Sowohl das Bett, als auch die Schlafcouch sind bequem. Die vielen Fenster sorgen für Licht und Raum. Außenrollos sind verfügbar. Das Bad hat eine Badewanne und eine Dusche. Die Küche ist mit allen elektrischen Geräten ausgestattet. Dankeschön für die Kaffeepads! Ein Highlight ist der Balkon mit herrlichem Gartenblick. Schnelles WLAN ist in der ganzen Wohnung verfügbar.

  Die Unterkunft war sehr wohnlich und sauber. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und das Wohnzimmer sehr gemütlich. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

  parkeringsforhold er rigtig gode
  lejligheden virkelig fint istandsat
