This apartment-style hotel sits right in the heart of Leipzig’s Mitte district, and I mean *right* in it – you’re basically a few minutes’ walk from the old town square and all those beautiful churches everyone raves about.

The thing about staying here is that you’re living like a local, not just passing through. The apartment setup means you’ve got actual space to spread out (and honestly, after cramming into tiny European hotel rooms, that feels like a luxury). The kitchen situation is pretty decent too – I ended up grabbing fresh bread and cheese from the little bakery around the corner on Grimmaische Straße and having breakfast like I actually lived there. The whole Zentrum Süd area has this lived-in vibe that I really appreciated. You’ll hear some street noise during the day since Hohe Straße gets its fair share of foot traffic, but it dies down nicely in the evenings.

What struck me most was how the staff actually knew the neighborhood – not just the tourist highlights, but where to find a good döner at 10 PM or which tram lines to avoid during rush hour. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re exploring a city like Leipzig. The location means you can walk to the Gewandhaus if you’re into classical music, or wander over to the Spinnerei art district without dealing with multiple transit connections. I spent one morning just walking through the nearby Johannapark with coffee from a local spot – that’s the kind of authentic experience you get when you’re staying in a real neighborhood rather than some sterile hotel district. The place isn’t perfect (the WiFi was a bit spotty on the upper floors, and don’t expect ultra-modern fixtures), but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels genuine rather than designed by a corporate committee.

  Eine sehr freundliche Vermietung! Die Lage war super, die Betten sehr komfortabel und die Wohnung war gut ausgestattet.

  2 getrennte Schlafzimmer, Rollläden an allen Fenstern, Nähe zur Innenstadt, wir haben 2 Schlüssel bekommen
  
  What could be improved: Bad/WC ohne Fenster, Lüftung nur über Räume möglich, weil Lüfter defekt, soll repariert werden.
  Küchenarmatur war lose und hing nur an der Wasserleitungen.
  Bei den Rattanmöbeln am Balkon hingen einzelne Streifen weg.

  Herr Dimitrov hat uns am nächsten Tag noch einen dritten Stuhl gebracht und war immer hilfsbereit. Auch eine sehr späte Anreise hat super geklappt.
  
  What could be improved: Die Küche war knapp ausgestattet- nur 3 Kaffeebecher, kein Brotkorb, Biergläser fehlten…
  Das Mobilar vom Balkon war leider an den Armlehnen kaputt.
