Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment rental on Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße – I mean, the name alone makes it sound like you’re staying in a history textbook. But this place completely changed my mind about Leipzig’s city center living, and now I actually get why people rave about Mitte.

The moment you step inside, you realize someone put real thought into this space. It’s got that effortlessly cool vibe that Germans do so well – clean lines, quality furniture, but not sterile like some of those corporate extended-stay places. The two balconies are honestly the game-changer here. The front one gives you this perfect perch to people-watch along Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße (which, by the way, has way more character than I expected), and the back balcony is where you’ll end up having your morning coffee because it’s quieter and catches the light just right. You know what surprised me most? How well the soundproofing works. I was worried about street noise since you’re right in the thick of things, but even with the windows open on summer nights, it never got disruptive.

Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot of Leipzig. Walk five minutes east and you hit the Gewandhaus area – perfect for evening concerts if that’s your thing. Head west toward the market square and you’re in prime café territory. The S-Bahn connection at Leipzig Mitte is practically around the corner, which saved me so much hassle getting to and from the airport. Plus, and this is something I only figured out after staying there twice, you’re close enough to all the main sights that you can walk everywhere during the day, but far enough from the late-night bar crawl routes that you actually get decent sleep. The building itself has that solid, pre-war feel – thick walls, high ceilings, the kind of place that feels substantial. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to German city centers), but there’s usually street parking available if you don’t mind walking a block or two. The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s one of those places where all the little details just work, from the kitchen setup to the shower pressure to having enough outlets in the right places. I’ve stayed in plenty of four-star places that felt more like fancy hotels trying too hard, but this apartment just feels like… well, like staying in Leipzig properly.

  Heel mooi appartement wij zouden er zelf wel kunnen wonen. Het appartement is helemaal compleet en van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is zelfs een lift. Het centrum en station zijn op loopafstand.
