The setup works brilliantly for groups – I mean, five beds across three rooms means you’re not playing musical chairs with sleeping arrangements. The balcony isn’t huge, but it catches the morning light perfectly, and you know what? There’s something satisfying about having your coffee out there while watching the neighborhood wake up. The kitchen’s properly stocked too – none of that frustrating “where’s the can opener” nonsense you get at some places. What really sold me on the location, though, is that 11-minute train connection into Leipzig’s center. The tram stop is literally a few minutes’ walk, and once you figure out the timing (trains run pretty regularly, even evenings), you realize you’ve got the best of both worlds. You’re tucked away from the tourist crowds but still ridiculously close to everything that matters – the old town, the nightlife around Barfußgässchen, all those little cafes near the university.

The Stötteritz area itself is sort of Leipzig’s best-kept secret. It’s got this authentic residential vibe where you’ll see families heading to the local bakery in the mornings, kids playing in the small parks, that kind of everyday German life that you miss when you’re stuck in the city center bubble. The apartment’s rating of 7.6 feels about right – it’s not going to wow you with luxury touches, but everything works the way it should. Hot water’s reliable, Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out during video calls, and the beds are actually comfortable (I’ve stayed in enough places where that’s not a given). My only minor gripe would be that parking can get tight on the street, especially evenings when everyone’s home from work, but honestly, with that public transport connection, you might not even need a car. Plus, there’s a decent supermarket within walking distance for supplies, and the whole area feels safe enough that you’re not constantly checking over your shoulder. For six people looking to experience Leipzig without paying city-center prices, this place delivers exactly what it promises – a proper home base with room to spread out and easy access to everything else.

  What could be improved: Leider nicht genügend Geschirr für die angegebene Personenanzahl. Die Ausstattung der Küche müsste vielleicht mal aktualisiert werden und eine Reinigung der Oberschränke in der Küche (Außen) wäre empfehlenswert.

  What could be improved: The oven was dirty, some plates were chipped and not enough. One of the mattresses wasn’t comfortable. Wifi no access. Given wrong code to the main gate and have to get the neighbour to open the main gate for us though we tried contacting the property owner thru email and phone call and it was raining outside and we were wet through.
