You know what struck me first about Stadt. Land. See. Ferienwohnung? The name literally means “City. Country. Lake” – and honestly, they nailed it. This place sits in Holzhausen, which is technically Leipzig but feels worlds away from the tourist chaos downtown. I mean, you’re still only about 15 minutes from the city center, but here you’ve got this quiet residential vibe where locals actually live their lives instead of just posing for Instagram photos.

The apartment itself is one of those gems that makes you wonder why more places can’t get the basics this right. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered in bulk from some hotel supply catalog. The kitchen actually has sharp knives (travelers will know what I mean), and there’s proper storage space – not just a sad little wardrobe that can fit maybe three hangers. What really got me though was stepping out onto the terrace in the morning with coffee and realizing you can actually hear birds instead of traffic. The August-Bebel-Siedlung area has this tree-lined, almost suburban feel that’s pretty rare for a city apartment rental. Plus – and this is huge if you’re driving – parking isn’t some nightmare puzzle like it is closer to Leipzig’s center.

The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not flashy or trying too hard to impress, but everything just works smoothly. Check-in was straightforward, the wifi didn’t drop every five minutes, and the shower had actual water pressure (again, seasoned travelers know this isn’t guaranteed). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – the Holzhausen neighborhood seems to wind down properly instead of having that constant urban hum. During the day, you’re close enough to hop into Leipzig proper when you want museums or restaurants, but you can also just wander the local area if you’re in that “live like a local for a few days” mood. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t feel like it’s performing “hotel experience” at you constantly – it’s just a really well-done place to sleep, cook a meal, and actually relax for a bit.

  Tolle Wohnung, perfekt für uns alle 6. Sehr sauber und so schön kindgerecht ausgestattet. Wir haben uns richtig wohl gefühlt. Die Kinder haben es geliebt mit den vorhandenen Spielsachen zu spielen, es war sogar für unser Baby alles da. Vom Hochstuhl über Kinderbesteck bis hin zum Wickeltisch mit Windeln und einem Reisebett. Inkl. guter Matratze und Bettdecke. Es war einfach richtig schön. Auch auf dem Klappsofa war eine extra Matratze. Als wir ankamen gab es sogar schon Himbeerwasser und Zitronenwasser, was die Kinder total gefreut hat.

  Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb, dafür ist es idyllisch. Sie ist sehr gut geeignet für Familien mit Kindern. Die Gastgeber haben selbst Kinder und sind sehr hilfsbereit und waren schnell erreichbar bei Fragen.

  I can’t expect better accommodation to stay in. The apartment has a female touch, by that I mean it fully furnished and equipped to suite your needs in details. All of equipments are modern and high quality. Furthermore apartment’s owners are generous. I found coffee capsules, coffee beans and ground coffee; Pasta and canned food.

  It was amazing, more then showing in pictures, farmland, quiet place, relaxing.
  In apartment everything was available, like we have in our home, very comfortable bed, sofa bed for kids, kitchen with all appliances including coffee beans, coffee machines, oven, even some food pasta, oil, chili etc..
  This place must be to stay more then 3 days to enjoy not far for city center by car.
  Super market REWE and Netto also nearby.
  In all I will stay there again for sure.
  
  Ohh also to mention that this place so kids friendly toys were available in apartment for kids to play as well as TV with YouTube and Amazon fire stick.
  My kids enjoyed a lot.
