The building itself sits on Ehrensteinstraße, and here’s what I love about this street – it’s got that perfect Leipzig vibe where you’ve got these gorgeous restored facades mixed with places that actually feel lived-in. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof (which, honestly, is one of Europe’s most stunning train stations even if you’re not going anywhere), but you won’t hear train noise or deal with the usual station area chaos. The apartment feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than a hotel room. I mean, the kitchen actually has proper equipment – not those sad little European hotel kettles and three mismatched cups you usually get.

What really got me was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The shower pressure is fantastic, which sounds boring but you know how it is when you’re traveling. There’s proper blackout capability in the bedroom, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t drop every time someone in the next unit starts streaming Netflix. The whole space feels thoughtfully put together without being precious about it – comfortable furniture that’s actually comfortable, not just Instagram-worthy. Parking can be a bit of a dance around here (welcome to German city centers), but there are spots on the street if you circle around, and honestly, you probably won’t need a car much anyway. You can walk to the old town in about fifteen minutes, hit the Spinnerei art district when you want something more off the beaten path, or just wander the neighborhood and stumble into those little cafés that don’t have English menus but make coffee that’ll ruin Starbucks for you forever. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s the kind of place that exceeds expectations without trying too hard, which is sort of Leipzig’s whole thing if you ask me.

• Perfekt Aufenthalt für uns als Familie – Sebastian from Germany – 3 August 2025 (10/10)

  Perfekt Lage und Größe der Wohnung. Sehr großzügig geschnitten. Wir waren zu zweit mit 4 Kindern dort und hatten mehr als genügend Platz.
  Die 2 Badezimmer waren perfekt für uns.
  Das Elternschlafzimmer war mehr als groß.
  Es gab auch ausreichend Kleiderschränke.
  Großes Plus Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren bereits vor Ort.
  Schöner und großer Essbereich für uns 6 Personen.
  
  In der Nähe ist ein kleiner Park mit ein paar Spielgeräten, sogar mit Tischtennisplatten.
  
  Wir können die Wohnung auf alle Fälle weiter empfehlen.
  
  What could be improved: Es ist ein bisschen Jammern auf hohen Niveau:
  Die Verdunklungsmöglichkeiten im kleinen Zimmer fehlen,dass wurde ja bereits erwähnt. In den anderen Zimmer sind die Vorhänge zwar dunkel, aber auch lichtdurchlässig.
  1-2 mehr Töpfe wären auch wünschenswert.😀

  Sehr große Ferienwohnung mit Aufzug im Haus. Riesige Dachterrasse mit Sonnenschirm. Alles sehr modern und neuwertig. Gute Betten schöne Bäder, Rollos in den Schlafräumen. Ventilator, gute Lage für Stadtbesichtigung. Wir hatten unsere Räder dabei, die konnten im Hof abgestellt werden.
  
  What could be improved: Im Sommer kann es durch fehlende Rollos im Ess und Wohnzimmer durchaus warm werden.
  Für die dritte Person fehlten am Anreisetag die Handtücher, das Problem konnte aber durch ein Telefonat geklärt werden. Unter den Betten waren einige Wollmäuse. Laute Straße in der Nähe, daher ist es schwierig mit offenen Fenster zu schlafen.

  Beautiful penthouse on the fifth floor of a fully renovated apartmentbuilding a little bit north of the city centre. All modern amenities present, big windows in every direction make for a feeling of unparalleled spaciousness. Beautiful fireplace which is really simple to use by pressing a button and not needing to clean a thing. Abundant parkspaces in front of the building without restrictions. Owner very prompt to respond, caters to every need, excellent communication.
  
  What could be improved: The city center is 5 minutes by car or 10 minutes by public transport. On foot is a little bit difficult. We used the car since there are many public garages in the center of Leipzig. The apartment is located near a main street which means you can hear the tram if you sleep with open windows but that didnt bother us.
