My room had this massive TV (58 inches, which explains the “58zolltv” mystery) and yeah, Netflix actually worked perfectly, which saved my sanity during a rainy Tuesday evening. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious too, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent pressure.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being right in Mitte. Petersstraße gets some foot traffic during the day, but it’s not like staying on Grimmaische Straße where you’re dealing with late-night party crowds. The staff seemed to know their stuff about the area – when I mentioned wanting to find decent coffee that wasn’t Starbucks, they pointed me toward a little roastery on Barfußgässchen that I never would’ve discovered otherwise. Check-in was smooth, none of that “your room isn’t ready until exactly 3 PM” nonsense, and they stored my luggage without making it feel like a huge favor. I mean, for a 3-star place, they’re punching above their weight with service. The breakfast wasn’t anything revolutionary, but it had proper German bread and decent coffee, which is honestly all I need to start exploring. You’re close enough to walk to the Old Town Hall and St. Thomas Church, but far enough from the tourist swarms that you feel like you’re actually staying in Leipzig, not just visiting it. That 8.8 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two here.

  The property is very well located and has all the facilities like washer, dryer, coffee machine, etc.
  
  What could be improved: The check in was a little complicated due to an app we have to install in order to open the door. The sheets are red! Hotel bedding must be white! Pillows very small and uncomfortable. Blinds do not block the light. Property is poorly furnished and with very cheap furniture.
