It’s one of those classic Leipzig buildings that makes you feel like you’re staying in someone’s actual apartment rather than some sterile hotel room. The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that you’re experiencing how locals actually live, complete with those impossibly high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a building with serious history. The whole setup feels authentically Leipzig – not the touristy version, but the real deal.

What really got me was the location, though I mean, Riebeckstraße isn’t exactly a household name, but it’s perfectly positioned in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds at 7 AM. You can actually hear the city waking up from the windows – trams rattling by, people heading to work, the occasional delivery truck – but it never gets overwhelming. I found myself walking to the Markt in about fifteen minutes, and honestly, that’s the kind of distance where you start to feel like you belong somewhere instead of just visiting. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality with local bakeries and corner shops that close at reasonable hours, which tells you everything you need about who actually lives around here.

The apartment itself… well, it’s got that effortless style that comes from someone who actually cares about design but isn’t trying too hard to impress anyone. Everything works the way it should – decent WiFi, hot water that doesn’t quit on you mid-shower, and a kitchen that’s actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the Rewe down the street. I particularly loved how they managed to keep all the original character (those tall windows, the vintage radiators) while making sure modern life actually works. The rating of 8.7 makes total sense because it’s not perfect – the stairs are steep if you’ve got heavy luggage, and parking can be a bit of a puzzle – but those minor inconveniences fade pretty quickly when you’re settling in with a beer from the corner shop, watching Leipzig go about its evening routine from those gorgeous old windows. It’s the kind of place where you start planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out.

  Sehr saubere und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung, in Küche und Bad alles vorhanden, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt.
  Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Freundliche und schnelle Kommunikation, unkomplizierter Check-in.

  Es war sehr sauber, alles roch frisch und es war super gemütlich. Kann die Kommentare über die Lautstärke verstehen, wir fanden es aber gar nicht soo laut! Süß, dass es Ohropax für alle Gäste gab! Besonders cool fanden wir das Schachbrett. Der Fernseher ist modern und die Küche top ausgestattet! Haben nur ein Nudelsieb vermisst 😅
  Bett ist auch mega bequem. Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war perfekt.

  Wohnung an sich ist schön mit den vielen Fenstern. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, wenngleich etwas düster durch die dunklen Wände. Matratze gut.
  
  What could be improved: Geschirr ist knapp bemessen; von allem nur 2 Stück, da muss man oft spülen. Eine der Heizungen im Wohnzimmer wurde unbrauchbar gemacht; das dürfte im Winter kalt werden. Warmwasser am Waschbecken im Bad ist auch deaktiviert worden.

  Kleine, aber feine Wohnung nahe dem Stadtzentrum von Leipzig- mit viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet und modern eingerichtet. Sauber und mit dem Benötigten ausgestattet; auch die Vermieter waren nett und um unser Wohl besorgt. Völlig ausreichend für ein paar Tage in der Stadt.
  
  What could be improved: Nur als Hinweis und generationsabhängig nicht unbedingt als negativ zu bewerten: Aufgrund der Lage an verkehrstechnisch stark frequentierter Straße bei offenem Fenster natürlich bis weit in den Abend dementsprechender Verkehrslärm…aber dafür kann der nette Vermieter ja nichts. Die Wohnung befindet sich im 3.Stock – etwas in's Schnaufen kommt da die Ü60-Generation schon, da kein Fahrstuhl vorhanden ist.
