Radisson Hotel Leipzig Overview

First Impressions

Walking into the Radisson Hotel Leipzig, you immediately get that feeling of stepping into something well-thought-out. It’s a four-star property that doesn’t try too hard to impress — instead, it just quietly delivers on what matters. The lobby has this modern European vibe that feels polished without being stuffy, and honestly, the staff seem genuinely happy to see you rather than just going through the motions.

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying on Berliner Straße in Mitte — you’re actually in the heart of Leipzig without feeling like you’re trapped in tourist central. The location really is as good as everyone says (couples rate it 8.5, and I can see why). You can walk to the old town in about ten minutes, but you’re also close enough to the train station that getting around Germany is a breeze. I mean, if you’re planning day trips to Dresden or even Berlin, you’ll appreciate not having to schlep across the city with your luggage.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from Radisson — clean lines, comfortable bed, and everything just works. Nothing groundbreaking, but that’s sort of the point. The windows are well-insulated (trust me, this matters when you’re on a busy street), and the bathroom actually has decent water pressure. You know what really impressed me though? The blackout curtains are proper blackout curtains, not those flimsy things that let morning light creep in around the edges. The furnishings are thoughtfully arranged to maximize comfort.

Breakfast Worth Mentioning

Breakfast here surprised me in the best way. They’ve got this buffet setup that covers pretty much every dietary need you can think of — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free options alongside the traditional German spread. The American touches are there too if you’re craving something familiar. What I really appreciated was that the vegan options weren’t just an afterthought — they actually put effort into making them appealing. The coffee is solid (important detail for morning people like me), and they keep everything well-stocked even during busy periods.

Why Guests Love It

This hotel works because it gets the fundamentals right without any unnecessary fuss. You’re staying in Leipzig’s best-rated area, so whether you’re here for business or exploring the city’s music history, you’re perfectly positioned. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you experience how smoothly everything runs — from check-in to housekeeping to that moment when you realize your key card actually works on the first try every single time. It’s the kind of place where you don’t spend mental energy worrying about hotel logistics, which means you can focus on why you came to Leipzig in the first place. Guests consistently praise the attention to detail throughout their stay.

  • Excellent hotel choice for Leipzig – Damiana from Switzerland – 4 August 2025 (9/10)

The bed was fantastic, the room very clean and the staff accommodating. The hotel is approx. 5–10 min away from the main train station and the breakfast buffet included sweet and savoury food options.

  • Stylish, central, and comfortable stay – Daniel from Germany – 4 August 2025 (9/10)

My partner and I had a lovely stay at the Radisson Blu Leipzig while attending a wedding in the city. The hotel is modern, well-maintained, and conveniently located just a short walk from the main train station and Leipzig’s city center.

We really appreciated the friendly and welcoming staff, and our room was clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortably equipped. The bed was especially comfortable, and the linen was fresh and crisp—perfect after a long day of festivities.

What could be improved: If there’s one thing we weren’t entirely happy with, it was the bathroom door design. It opened outwards into the room and automatically closed behind you as soon as you stepped inside, which felt a bit awkward. A sliding door might offer a more functional and space-saving solution.

Overall, though, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to other travelers visiting Leipzig.

  • Exceptional – Graham from United Kingdom – 29 July 2025 (10/10)

  • A very comfortable and stylish stay with great service, just wish the communication about late check-out had been smooth – Polina from Ukraine – 28 July 2025 (9/10)

The hotel was lovely! Clean and cozy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and breakfast exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

What could be improved: The only downside was that the late check-out we had requested wasn’t passed on to the staff working the next day. We had asked for it specifically, as we had a long trip ahead and needed rest, but around 12:40 we were woken up by a call, and shortly after, housekeeping opened the door. That was quite disappointing.

  • Clean and Modern stay in central Leipzig. – Elin from Sweden – 28 July 2025 (9/10)

Stayed for one night during our road trip through Europe. Had a great stay at this hotel. Nothing to complain about, just as you would like all hotels to be! Also easy access to a parking garage right beside the hotel.

  • Very good – Nikolai from Estonia – 27 July 2025 (8/10)

Kind and friendly staff, convenient location (close to the city center). Hotel's condition is modern and new

What could be improved: Limited parking options
