What really won me over was how genuinely comfortable everything felt. The rooms are clean and functional – we’re talking about a 3-star pension here, so don’t expect boutique hotel flourishes, but the beds are actually good, the Wi-Fi works, and there’s this quiet that you just don’t get in the city center. I slept better here than I had in weeks. The breakfast spread is typical German fare, nothing revolutionary, but solid and filling. Plus, you’re maybe a 15-minute tram ride from Leipzig’s main attractions – close enough to easily get into the action, far enough out that you’re not dealing with tourist area noise and inflated prices. I grabbed groceries at the nearby shops (there’s a decent bakery just down the street that locals clearly frequent), and honestly, it felt more like staying in a real neighborhood than just passing through as a tourist.

Look, this isn’t going to be the place you Instagram or tell stories about for years, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It’s reliable, reasonably priced, and run by people who seem to actually care about their guests having a decent stay. The 7.8 rating makes sense – it’s not groundbreaking, but it does everything it promises to do well. If you’re the type who’d rather spend your money on experiences than fancy hotel amenities, or if you’re planning to explore Leipzig and surrounding areas by car, this is actually a pretty smart choice. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge – this is more like staying at your practical German aunt’s house, if your aunt ran a small hotel and made sure everything was spotless and comfortable.

  Landlord and landlady are very welcoming. The building is old, but they fitted modern needs superbly into it. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, a supermarket right across and the public transport within easy reach.
  
  What could be improved: Simply – I liked everything. If you look for posh, then you have to pay posh. Everything essential is within easy reach. What more will you bargain for?

  Für den Preis war das Zimmer überraschend geräumig. Selbiges gilt für die Bequemlichkeit des Bettes. Da ich den Raum nur zum Schlafen verwendet habe, kann ich über seine sonstige Nutzungsmöglichkeit kein Urteil fällen, es gab jedoch noch einen Tisch mit recht großer Arbeitsfläche.

  Sehr freundliches Personal, ruhige und recht grüne Lage und doch mit ÖPNV erreichbar. Gutes Frühstück Allerdings sind die Zimmer nicht barrierefrei.

  What could be improved: many restrictions for example its not allowed to take food with you to your own room.towels remain the same along during my stay.
  Check in time limited within 2 hours from 17 pm till 19 pm in case being late for any reason there will be no employees to let you enter. Also language barrier was problem, not every tourist able to speak& understand Germany language.
