N8 ROOMS – by Leipzig Suites Overview
You know what? N8 ROOMS caught me completely off guard. I was expecting another generic Leipzig hotel when I booked it, but this place actually has some character tucked away on Windmühlenstraße. The building itself has that solid German apartment block vibe – nothing flashy from the outside, but once you’re inside, the Leipzig Suites people have done something pretty clever with the space.
The rooms are honestly bigger than I expected for a 3-star place, and I mean properly spacious, not just “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. Mine had this nice mix of modern touches and what felt like thoughtful design choices – the kind where someone actually considered how people live in a space for a few days. The kitchenette setup is legit useful too, which matters when you’re in Mitte and want to grab some bread and cheese from the Saturday market at Wilhelmsplatz (just a quick walk, by the way). I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard trying to be boutique-y, but they clearly put effort into making it feel less… hotel-ish, if that makes sense.
Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being in the thick of tourist chaos. Windmühlenstraße puts you close enough to walk to the Thomaskirche and all that, but you’re also near some of the spots locals actually hang out – there’s this great little café around the corner that I stumbled onto purely by accident. The area gets pretty quiet at night, which I loved, though if you’re the type who needs everything buzzing around you constantly, you might find it a bit sleepy. Parking was surprisingly manageable for Leipzig’s center, and the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no unnecessary upselling or complicated key card explanations.
Honestly, the 7.7 rating feels about right. It’s not going to blow your mind or become your new favorite place to tell stories about, but it delivers on what matters: clean, comfortable, well-located, and priced fairly. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time exploring the city rather than lounging around the hotel. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – a solid base that doesn’t get in the way of why you came to Leipzig in the first place.
Leipzig hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Germany’s music capital, known for its rich Bach heritage and historic significance in the peaceful revolution.

Reviews of N8 ROOMS – by Leipzig Suites
Perfect for the price – Chavdar from Bulgaria – 3 August 2025 (9/10)
Happy to had Nespresso coffee machine inside. The location is very good.
Nice stay. – Eduardo from France – 1 August 2025 (8/10)
Clean, large room, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, very nice staff.
What could be improved: Virtually no internet in the room, not so easy to contact staff, no clear instructions to check in (I was lucky someone was entering so I could go in the building with them).Superb – Alisa from Germany – 21 May 2025 (9/10)
Easy check-in. The room is spacious. Comfortable bed. Location is close to the city center and railway station. Grocery store across the road.
What could be improved: It was not very clean, there was dust in the corners and a lot of dust in general, probably because of the windows facing the street.Value for money – Kalliopi from Portugal – 17 November 2024 (7/10)
It was quite comfortable and very close to the center
What could be improved: Could be cleaner, especially the bathroomSuperb – Ariane from Germany – 27 September 2024 (9/10)
Great location. Clean.
What could be improved: The wifi worked very poorly in one of the days.Clean, elegant room equipped with everything needed for a short stay – Monika from Hungary – 10 September 2024 (8/10)
The room was elegant and clean, and had everything needed for a shorter stay. There was a small fridge, an electric water kettle, a decent-sized table with 2 chairs, and outside the room, on the ground floor there was a kitchen area too, though we did not try/need this. The temperature was nice, and we really appreciated that the big middle window could be opened fully instead of just tilting – letting fresh air into the room was quick&easy this way.
Getting in was easy with the codes received.
The location was good, with tram, train/S-bahn and bus stops, and also stores&supermarkets within minutes' walk.
What could be improved: Real animal skin/fur on the floor. It was disgraceful and disgusting, and bad both for vegans and people with fur allergies. I put it away in the wardrobe… I think the owner should consider removing this from the rooms.
The air ventillation in the bathroom turns on immediately when you turn on the main light, and it is very loud. It turns off immediately when the lights are turned off, but I wish there was a separate switch for this. I often found myself only using the mirror light when going to the toilet or taking a shower, because that at least didn't turn the ventillation on.
The accommodation is not accessible by wheelchair/for people who have difficulties taking the stairs. Lights in the corridors don't turn on automatically, and we had to use our mobile phones' torch to locate the switches when we arrived to the accommodation in the night.Worth paying. Never met any staff during our stay. But that was ok and everything was provided in the room. But the nois – Noufal from Qatar – 18 August 2024 (8/10)
The room was spacious and clean. Plenty of sunlight and ventilation is possible. Rooms are facing the Main Street so easy to access the stores and shops.
What could be improved: The property located next the Main Street, the traffic and tram service is kind of annoying while you sleeps. Since there is no air conditioning in the rooms, you have to keep the window open to sleep (visit during summer ). So the traffic noise can really disturb your sleeping.Good – Michael from Australia – 2 July 2024 (7/10)
Great location from which to walk to the main city sites, also with good local restaurants
What could be improved: Inadequate ventilation meant the room was very hot and stuffyVery good – Standfield from Australia – 30 June 2024 (8/10)
Very comfortable, clean and modern.
What could be improved: No fan or air conSuperb – Jakub from Taiwan – 20 June 2024 (9/10)
Very convenient location within a walking distance from the Old Town
Check-in procedure clear and convenient (the property can be accessed at any time of day or night)
Spacious and clean room
What could be improved: It wasn't a problem for me but it may be good to know beforehand that you are staying next to a busy street, so you can hear trams and cars passing by until late in the evening.
