When I first walked into Modernes City-Apartment am Park, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a typical residential building on Täubchenweg. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you. This four-star apartment sits on the second floor of a well-maintained building, and there’s something immediately welcoming about how quiet and residential the whole area feels — especially after dealing with the usual city noise elsewhere in Leipzig.

The Space Itself

The room setup here is actually pretty clever. It’s designed like a proper apartment rather than just another hotel room, which means you get a real sense of living in Leipzig rather than just visiting. The kitchen is fully equipped — I mean, you could actually cook a proper meal here if you wanted to, though honestly, with Leipzig’s food scene, you might not want to. The whole place feels modern without being sterile, and there’s enough space that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes.

Location and Getting Around

Here’s where this place really shines — the location is genuinely excellent, and I can see why recent guests rated it 9.0. You’re close enough to Leipzig’s center that you can walk to most of the main attractions, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your window. The parking situation is actually a huge plus here since finding a spot in Leipzig can be a real headache — having free private parking on site takes away that stress completely. I noticed quite a few couples during my stay, which makes sense given how peaceful and romantic the neighborhood feels.

The Neighborhood Experience

What I really appreciated about staying here was getting to experience Leipzig like a local rather than a tourist. The park nearby (hence the “am Park” in the name) is perfect for morning walks or just sitting with coffee — it’s one of those spots that locals actually use, not just a tourist photo opportunity. The surrounding streets have that authentic German residential vibe, with proper bakeries and small shops where people actually know each other’s names. You’re also well-positioned to explore different parts of Leipzig without feeling like you’re stuck in one touristy area.

Why Guests Love It

The perfect 10 rating starts to make sense when you add up all the little things that work here. It’s the kind of place where everything just functions properly — the wifi actually works, the shower has good pressure, and you’re not constantly hunting for power outlets. The apartment setup means you have real flexibility in how you spend your time, whether you want to cook breakfast or just crash after a long day exploring Leipzig. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having your own little Leipzig home base rather than just another generic hotel experience.

  Die Lage ist ideal. Super praktisch, dass der Bäcker direkt im Haus ist.
  
  Das Apartment ist farblich sehr geschmackvoll aufeinander abgestimmt. Wir haben uns direkt heimelig gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr gepflegt.
  
  Die Küche ist super ausgestattet – vom scharfen Messer bis zur Kaffeemaschine ist alles da. Auch Spülmaschinentabs, Küchenrolle und andere Kleinigkeiten waren vorhanden.
  
  Der CheckIn verlief unkompliziert über eine Schlüsselbox. Für uns perfekt, da wir erst spät abends angekommen sind. Bei uns war sie nicht locker, also wurde das in der Zwischenzeit behoben. Man merkt, dass sich hier mit viel Sorgfalt gekümert wird.

  Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dieser tollen Wohnung sehr genossen. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und die Küche ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Man merkt, dass hier an alles gedacht wurde. An alle Kaffeeliebhaber: Der ausgesprochen gute Kaffee war mein Highlight am Morgen.
  Generell ist die Wohnung geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre. Ganz klare Empfehlung!

  Die Lage des Appartements ist geradezu perfekt: ÖPNV-Haltestelle, Geschäfte, Cafés, Restaurants sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Ein Bäcker ist direkt im Haus. Der Biomarkt gleich gegenüber.
  
  Die Wohnung ist liebevoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Stühle, Betten sind bequem.
  Ausreichend Geschirr / Besteck / Küchenutensilien vorhanden. Großer Kühlschrank.
  
  Wir waren als kleine Turngruppe eines Vereins (zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder/ Jugendliche) im Rahmen des deutschen Turnfestes fünf Tage dort.
  Ein idealer Rückzugsort und wir konnten uns hervorragend gut und selbst verpflegen.
  
  Tolle Vermieter, die uns mit Rat & Tat zur Seite gestanden haben. Schnelle Reaktionszeit bei Fragen.
  Absolute Empfehlung, wer mal ein paar Tage länger in Leipzig verweilt.
  
  What could be improved: Der Behälter für die Schlüsselbox ist etwas wackelig und der letzte Nutzer hatte das Zahlenschloss nicht verschlossen, sondern auf dem Code belassen. Jeder hätte den Schlüssel zur Wohnung direkt entnehmen können.
  
  Es fehlt ein kleiner Guide für beispielsweise Benutzung der Küchengeräte, Kaffeemaschine, Mülltrennung.
  
  Aber das ist Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau – das hat unseren Aufenthalt in keiner Weise beeinflusst
