You know what struck me first about this place on Fichtestraße? It actually feels like stepping into someone’s well-kept Leipzig home rather than a sterile hotel room. I mean, the building itself is pretty typical for this part of Süd – that solid German construction you see everywhere in the neighborhood – but inside, someone clearly put thought into making it comfortable without trying too hard to impress.

The apartment sits right in the heart of what locals just call “Süd,” and honestly, it’s one of those spots where you get the real Leipzig experience without the tourist markup. You’re maybe a fifteen-minute walk to the city center, but here’s the thing – you probably won’t want to rush there because this area has its own rhythm. There’s this great little bakery just around the corner (I think it’s on Zschochersche Straße, but don’t quote me on that) where you can grab proper German bread rolls in the morning, and the whole district has that lived-in feel where people actually go about their daily business. The tram connections are solid too – line 15 runs pretty regularly and gets you downtown without any fuss.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially for being so central. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional tram rumble by, but it’s more of a gentle urban lullaby than actual noise. The apartment itself is clean and functional – I’d say the 8.6 rating is pretty spot-on, actually. Nothing fancy, but everything works properly, which honestly matters more than marble countertops when you’re trying to feel at home somewhere. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook (and given how good the local markets are, you should definitely consider it), and the wifi was reliable enough for video calls back home. Check-in was straightforward – no standing around waiting for keys or dealing with complicated instructions. One small thing though: if you’re arriving with a lot of luggage, just know there isn’t an elevator, but it’s only a few flights up and totally manageable. The whole experience just felt… easy, I guess? Like staying with that friend who’s got their life together and makes good coffee in the morning.

  Lage der Wohnung ist super zentral und ruhig gelegen und eignet sich auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl in der Wohnung gefühlt und auch der Support und Kontakt zum Vermieter war stets gegeben. Absolut empfehlenswert und gerne kommen wir wieder!
