I mean, when you hear “apartment in Leipzig’s city center,” you’re probably thinking cramped European living, but this 5-room setup on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße really delivers on space. The moment you walk up to the first floor (left side, don’t miss it like I almost did), you realize this isn’t your typical hotel crash pad.

The location is honestly pretty brilliant if you know Leipzig at all. You’re right in Mitte, which means you can stumble to the Markt in about ten minutes, maybe less if you’re motivated by morning coffee cravings. What I loved was being close enough to hear the city buzz during the day but far enough from the main party streets that you actually get decent sleep. Karl-Liebknecht-Straße has this perfect balance – it’s got character without being chaotic. The building itself has that solid German construction feel, so you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or creaky everything.

Here’s the thing though – with space for eight people, this place really shines when you’ve got a group that wants to spread out. The rooms are arranged so you can actually have some privacy (crucial when you’re traveling with friends who snore), and the common areas don’t feel like everyone’s sitting on top of each other. I stayed here during one of Leipzig’s busier festival weekends, and while the city was packed, coming back to this apartment felt like having a proper home base. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s got all the essentials covered well, nice finishes, everything works like it should, but it’s not trying to be fancy just for the sake of it. That 8.3 rating from other guests makes sense too; you get what you expect, and then a little more because of how well the space is laid out. Honestly, for groups visiting Leipzig who want something more than hotel rooms but don’t want to deal with sketchy apartment rentals, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Sehr schönes und gut gelegenes Apartment, kommen gerne wieder.
  Die Wohnung hat wirklich alles was man benötigt das einzige was uns fehlte aufgrund unseres längeren Aufenthalts war ein Geschirrspüler.
