This place sits right in the heart of Leipzig’s residential area, and I mean literally in the middle of everything that matters, not tucked away in some tourist trap zone where you pay double for a pretzel.

The “Hochparterre” part of the address basically means you’re on the raised ground floor – perfect if you’ve got heavy luggage and questionable knees like me. What really won me over was how genuinely local this spot feels. You’re surrounded by actual Leipzig life, not hotel-land. There’s this great little bakery maybe two blocks down that locals actually use (you’ll know because there’s always a line of people speaking rapid German at 7 AM), and honestly, being able to walk to real neighborhood spots instead of overpriced hotel restaurants was refreshing. The area gets pretty quiet after evening hours, which is either perfect for sleep or slightly boring depending on what you’re after – but hey, the city center is close enough that you can always wander over when you need more action.

What strikes me about this place is how it manages to feel like you’re staying at a friend’s apartment rather than some sterile accommodation. Sure, it’s got that 3-star rating, and yeah, you’ll probably notice it’s not dripping with fancy amenities, but the 8.4 rating tells the real story here. People actually like staying here, and after spending a few nights, I get why. The setup works – you’ve got space to spread out, you can grab groceries and actually cook something if you’re tired of restaurant food, and there’s something refreshing about not having to navigate a massive hotel lobby every time you want to come and go. I mean, Leipzig isn’t exactly a city where you need a concierge to tell you where the good stuff is anyway. The whole Südvorstadt area has this authentic, slightly artsy vibe that you just can’t manufacture, and staying right in the mix of it beats being stuck in some glass tower downtown. Just don’t expect room service or someone to carry your bags – but honestly, once you settle in and start exploring the neighborhood on foot, you’ll probably prefer the independence anyway.

  Very clean and spacious, there was literally everything you could want in a short stay apartment. From the obvious thing like towels and nice conditioner to coffee, slippers, all the kitchen equipment and appliances and hairdryer.
  
  What could be improved: It was cold in the apartment when we entered but after turning all the radiators to 5 it was nice and cozy temperature.

  Die Wohnung ist sehr gut und gemütlich ausgestattet, war sehr sauber bei der Anreise und bietet alles was man für ein paar Tage in Leipzig braucht. Innerhalb weniger Minuten ist die Wohnung vom Bahnhof aus zu erreichen.
  Sie liegt ruhig und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter wie auch zur Schlüsselübergabe hat reibungslos funktioniert.

  Sehr gut angebundene und trotzdem ruhig gelegene Wohnung – in ein paar Minuten ist man an der Straßenbahn- / Bushaltestelle. An Ausstattung ist alles da, was man brauchen kann – besonders schön ist der Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne 🙂

  What could be improved: Eigentlich nichts zu beanstanden – eine Badematte o.ä. wäre vor der Dusche noch super, damit der Fußboden im Bad trocken bleibt 👍

  Ruhige Lage, relativ zentral, Bäcker sowei Straßenbahn- und Bushaltestelle zu Fuß 2-3 Minuten entfernt. Bequemes Bett. Küche gut ausgestattet. Alles sauber. Schlüsselübergabe am späten Abend hat gut geklappt.

  Die Lage ist gut. Ein ruhiges Gründerzeitviertel mit schneller Anbindung an den ÖNV. Gut ist auch die Ausstattung der Küche.

• Es war ein angenehmner Aufenhalt in einer schönen Ferieen Wohnung mit Balkon – Jessica from Germany – 1 May 2023 (9/10)

  Die Lage war erstklassig, vier Stationen mit der Straßen bahn zum Leipziger Hauptbahnhof, drei bis in die Innenstadt. Wohnung selber sehr schön sauber, geräumig und das Hochbett super bequem. Die Küche hat eine, für eine Ferienwohnung hervorragende ausstattung, von Backofen, Toaster über eine Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher und eine Kaffeemaschine.
  
  What could be improved: Eine etwas dickere Bettdecke, die Temperaturen sind noch mal ziemlich gesunken und es waren schon verhältnismäßig dünne Decken aufgezogen. So mussten wir ordentlich heizen um Nachts nicht zu frieren.
