LuxX Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking into LuxX Apartment feels more like entering a friend’s incredibly stylish penthouse than checking into a hotel — which, honestly, is exactly what it is. This four-star gem sits right on Goethestraße in Leipzig’s Mitte district, and I mean right in the heart of everything that matters. The moment you step inside, you realize this isn’t your typical hotel experience. It’s got that refined, residential vibe that makes you want to kick off your shoes and actually relax.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s brilliant about staying in Mitte? Everything you want to see in Leipzig is basically within walking distance. I’m talking about the historic market square, the stunning St. Thomas Church where Bach worked, and some of the city’s best restaurants and cafes just steps away. The location gets consistently high marks from guests, and after spending time here, I totally get why couples rate it so highly — there’s something romantic about having your own penthouse retreat right above one of Leipzig’s most charming streets. Plus, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the city’s incredible music scene and cultural offerings without dealing with lengthy commutes.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is the space itself — it’s a proper penthouse apartment, not just a hotel room with a fancy name. The layout feels thoughtfully designed, with areas that flow naturally from one to the next. You’ll find yourself with room to actually spread out, which is refreshing after staying in cramped hotel rooms elsewhere. The furnishings strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and character, and the attention to detail is impressive without being fussy. I mean, when you’re getting a 9.6 rating from guests, you’re clearly doing something very right.
Views & Atmosphere
Being a penthouse has its obvious perks — the views over Leipzig’s rooftops and historic architecture are genuinely lovely, especially in the evening when the city lights start twinkling. There’s something special about having your morning coffee while looking out over the city center, watching Leipzig wake up below you. The atmosphere inside manages to feel both upscale and homey, which isn’t easy to pull off. It’s quiet enough that you can actually get a good night’s sleep, but you’re still connected to the energy of the city center.
Why Guests Love It
The combination of location, space, and that residential feel really seems to win people over. Guests consistently mention how much they appreciate having a proper apartment-style setup rather than a standard hotel room — it gives you the freedom to come and go as you please while still having all the comforts you need. The fact that couples particularly love this place makes sense when you experience it yourself; there’s an intimacy and privacy here that’s hard to find in traditional hotels. Whether you’re exploring Leipzig’s rich musical heritage or just want a sophisticated base for discovering the city, this penthouse apartment delivers an experience that feels both special and genuinely comfortable.

Reviews of LuxX Apartment
city centre penthouse – Stefan from Australia – 29 September 2024 (10/10)
amazing location in the city centre
Terrace
What could be improved: outdoor heating inoperableVery spacious penthouse apartment – Richard from United Kingdom – 19 September 2024 (9/10)
A very spacious penthouse apartment which was a short walk from the main train station. The location near the city centre was ideal.
The apartment has a large outside area with a view of the nearby Nikolaikirche.
What could be improved: We had problems with the transponder which is used to access the flat and to get to the 6th floor in the lift. The lift was the most problematic. A few times we had to go to the 5th floor, access to which didn't need the transponder, and then walked up the last flight of stairs. It would be helpful to include written instructions on how to use the transponder in the welcome pack.
The kitchen area was quite small.Exceptional – Antoaneta from Bulgaria – 19 July 2024 (10/10)
The apartment has a big terrace and wonderful location.
Wonderful rooftop apartment in the heart of Leipzig. – Raoul from Germany – 22 June 2024 (9/10)
great location. Great rooftop apartment and terrace. Very clean and private.
What could be improved: the kitchen is very small and not too well equipped. Not for cooking.Exceptional – Demetrisv from Cyprus – 7 June 2024 (10/10)
The very clean areas of the apartment
The perfect choice for a short stay in Leipzig – Rob from United Kingdom – 26 February 2024 (10/10)
Fantastic location, one minute to the Opera House and a minor stroll into the city centre. Very quiet accommodation despite the central location. Really well equipped and spotlessly clean.
What could be improved: Key fob system was unfamiliar to us as vistitors to the country & this took a bit of getting used to. Some more precise instructions would have been useful.A Beautiful Apartment with Beautiful Sunlight in a sunny day – Samuel from Taiwan – 22 October 2023 (10/10)
Owner’s hospitality, superb location, and the sunlight shining on the sofa in the afternoon.
What could be improved: Kitchen is a bit small; not a big problem for a short stay, though.I had to ask around to find the house and appartment, but then all was smooth and luxurious. – Katerina from Czech Republic – 18 September 2023 (10/10)
This is absolutely lovely place. I belive it is the the best appartment I ever slept. Clean and just perfect, with everything you might need. Nice view, with all the luxury you might think of.
What could be improved: Everything was perfectHighly recommended! – Eric from Germany – 31 July 2023 (10/10)
Perfect location. Very clean. Very responsive and helpful host.
We could not have found better! A memorable stay – Graham from France – 28 May 2023 (10/10)
Extremely comfortable, quiet, well designed and thoughtfully appointed apartment. The location could not have been better for our needs, which included six concerts at the Gewandhaus during the Mahler Festival. We would certainly hope to stay again in the future.
What could be improved: Some suggestions:
1. There is a need for translation of all matters pertaining to the apartment – especially the operation of everything to do with accessing the apartment – front door of the building, elevator, apartment entrance
2. A second “beep” would be desirable so that those staying can be independent in their comings and goings.
3. Some “blackout” curtains or blinds in the bedroom. To be woken every morning at five by the strong light coming through the windows is not everyone’s ideal!
4. More coat hangers please!
5. Rubbish – improved receptacles to separate the different kinds of rubbish would be desirable.
6. For long stayers, a long handled broom and pan would be appreciated, and some cleaning products.
