The kitchen is actually functional (not just pretty), and I appreciated little touches like decent coffee supplies and real wine glasses, not those plastic things that make everything taste weird. What I really loved though was how quiet it stays despite being right in the center – Gottschedstraße isn’t one of those tourist-heavy streets that gets rowdy at 2 AM, but you’re still a five-minute walk from all the good stuff around Markt and the university area. The building itself has that classic Leipzig character, you know, the kind of solid architecture that makes you feel like you’re somewhere with actual history.

Here’s what sealed it for me: the owners clearly know what business travelers and longer-stay guests actually need. There’s proper workspace (with decent lighting, which is rarer than it should be), good WiFi that doesn’t cut out during video calls, and – this might sound small but it matters – enough power outlets in logical places. I stayed during a particularly busy conference week in Leipzig, and while other parts of the city were completely booked up, this felt like a genuine find. The check-in process was straightforward, no weird key-pickup locations across town or confusing instructions. Honestly, the 8.9 rating makes sense when you add up all these details that individually seem minor but collectively make your stay actually pleasant rather than just bearable. If you’re the type who values having a real base in Leipzig rather than just a place to crash, and you don’t want to deal with the stuffiness of traditional hotels or the uncertainty of random apartment rentals, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.

  Diese Wohnung ist äusserst geschmackvoll eingerichtet, ist frisch renoviert und ultra sauber. Wir waren drei Tage in Leipzig und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt sind zu Fuss bequem erreichbar.

  Die Lage ist wirklich toll, zu Fuss erreicht man die Innenstadt problemlos und die Strassenbahn ist auch gleich um die Ecke. Auch die Räumlichkeit (Gründerzeitwohnung) gibt einen ein gutes Wohngefühl. Zudem ist es in diesem Teil der Strasse sehr ruhig.
  
  What could be improved: Die Übernahme des Schlüssels an einem anderen Ort war ein wenig umständlich, aber verständlich.

  Lage super. Einrichtung hat uns super gefallen und auch die Waschmaschine (tatsächlich ein Waschtrockner) war ein Grund für die Buchung. Erreichbarkeit des Vermieters war super.
