Limehome Leipzig Oelßner’s Hof Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Limehome Leipzig Oelßner’s Hof on Ritterstraße, you immediately get that “I’m in the right place” feeling. This four-star property sits right in the thick of things in Leipzig‘s Mitte district, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better if you tried. The building itself has this understated elegance — not flashy, but you can tell there’s quality here. I mean, when couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, that’s saying something about how well-positioned this place really is.
Prime Location Benefits
You know what’s great about staying here? Everything you want to see in Leipzig is basically at your doorstep. The historic city center unfolds around you, and you’re genuinely in the heart of it all — not some tourist interpretation of “central location.” I found myself walking to most attractions without even thinking about it. The area has that perfect mix of local life and visitor-friendly spots, so you get to experience Leipzig like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through. The neighborhood truly captures the essence of what makes this city special.
The Accommodation Experience
The apartment-style setup here is what really sets this place apart from your typical hotel stay. Each unit comes with its own kitchenette, which honestly saved me quite a bit of money — and let me try some local ingredients from the nearby markets. The room design strikes this nice balance between modern functionality and comfort. Everything feels thoughtfully planned, from the lighting to the way the space flows. You’re not cramped, but it’s not so big that it feels impersonal either. The attention to detail throughout makes a real difference in your daily experience.
Neighborhood Character
Ritterstraße itself has this wonderful energy that changes throughout the day. Mornings are quiet and residential, but by evening there’s a gentle buzz from nearby cafés and local spots. What I really appreciated was how the street connects you to different parts of the city — you can head toward the old town in one direction or explore some of the more contemporary areas in another. The neighborhood feels authentically Leipzig, not like some sanitized tourist zone. This genuine character is something you simply cannot replicate.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.4 rating really reflects what you experience here — solid quality without any major surprises or disappointments. Couples especially seem to connect with this place, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about having your own little Leipzig base where you can cook breakfast together or just retreat after a day of exploring. The combination of independence and comfort works really well, especially if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. You get the services you need without feeling like you’re in some corporate hotel bubble. This balance is precisely what makes the property so appealing to returning guests.
To book a hotel in Leipzig during Bach Festival celebrations, travelers need early planning as this historic musical city draws visitors eager to experience its rich classical heritage and peaceful revolution history.

Location! Right at the central station. Clean, modern, spacious!
Super efficient digital login
What could be improved: In spite of full efficiency a human touch/ personal contact once, would be welcome. Once my phone battery was down. I was almost unable to enter.Lover of Leipzig – Heiko from New Zealand – 16 July 2025 (9/10)
Location was amazing, right in the hubbub of the city, great restaurants, shops right on our doorstep

What could be improved: It was a bit odd to not have a soul on the property.Superb – Kristina from Russia – 18 September 2024 (9/10)
Everything is great!
Location is super, the apartment is clean, online check in is really convenient.
What could be improved: It‘s overpricedJust fine for a solo short term stay – Sarah from Germany – 15 July 2024 (8/10)
Great location, modern and updated.
What could be improved: There are barely any plugs and they are in not so helpful locations. A full length mirror would have been nice. A lot of furniture for a tiny space.Everything great. Just please think about people who can’t sleep with a bedroom fully illuminated by sunlight – Mariangeles from Germany – 8 July 2024 (8/10)
It is greatly equipped and modern BUT! I belong to the 50% of the world’s population who can’t sleep without thick curtains covering sun light and the apartment was equipped thinking about the other 50% who can.
I had to wake up very early and many times due to the completely illuminated bedroom.
Such a shame because the bed was great and everything else was just super comfortable.
What could be improved: Lack of curtains and lack of will to help from the staff even when I wrote them advising about this at 7AM the first morning. They said there was not enough time in advance to help me.Decent experience – Marica from Germany – 5 June 2024 (9/10)
The location was very close to Leipzig Hbf which was very convenient. The room was very clean with all expected amenities. Good for a short stay of 2 days. We bought our own snacks (bread and spreads) for breakfast.
What could be improved: – There could be more shelves in the bathroom to keep toiletries
– A floor carpet under the basin in the washroom was needed
– No place (shelf) to keep the provided toiletries in the shower. I had to keep it on the floor, it was very inconvenient.
– We were 2 mins past the checkout time, just scanning the room for anything we left and a housekeeper just opened the door on us. It was awkward and I would expect some kind of communication (the housekeeper should have a way to know if the guests have not checked out yet)
