The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward – you get your access codes digitally (no awkward small talk with reception staff at weird hours), and the apartments themselves feel like someone actually thought about how travelers live. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show; they’ve got proper-sized fridges and decent cookware, which is clutch when you’re staying longer than a couple nights or just want to grab groceries from the Rewe down the street instead of eating out every meal. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Gewandhaus and all that tourist action around Augustusplatz. The building’s old-school thick walls definitely help with that.

Location-wise, you’re in this sweet spot where you can walk to pretty much everything that matters in Leipzig’s center, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of being right on Grimmaische Straße where all the shopping crowds are. I found myself cutting through the little side streets to get to the Barfußgässchen area for dinner most nights – there’s this whole network of pedestrian zones that locals use as shortcuts, and you’ll figure them out quickly from this spot. The S-Bahn connections are solid too; Leipzig Hauptbahnhof is close enough that you won’t stress about catching trains, but far enough that you’re not hearing announcements at all hours. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (welcome to German city centers), but there are a few paid lots within walking distance, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you probably won’t need your car much anyway. The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in a hotel – which, depending on what you’re after, is either perfect or not quite right. For the price point and that 7.9 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without any fancy nonsense you don’t need.

  It was an interesting experience. The building is very deserted. There is a deserted and bad building next to it. But the room was very successful and beautiful. It is close to the center. We tried a little to open the door of the building. It would be better to give more tips

  There was a good amount of space, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure
  
  What could be improved: The check-in process was a bit difficult alone at night. I didn’t know I had to go through the gate, and then it wasn’t obvious that the keypad was on the mailbox near the door rather than on the door itself.

  Have stayed here before and would do so again. Lovely to have an apartment and separate bedroom. Kitchen, bathroom, everything was good.

  Overall a great and well furnished apartment.
  
  What could be improved: I spend good few minutes looking for the PIN code machine, as I thought that the one on the mailbox was for the boxes and not the front door. In the app that guided you through the process of opening doors, it was only specified a step later that the box for the door is on the mailbox. It's not a big problem, just could have been written clearer.
  
  Also I wish there were curtains in the living room as the apartment is on the lowest floor and one of us slept on the couch and had sun shining directly at them in the morning.
