The location is what really makes this work. You’re in Mitte, which means you can walk to the Hauptbahnhof in about ten minutes – super handy if you’re arriving by train with luggage. But here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you: Delitzscher Straße itself is actually pretty quiet for being so central. I mean, you’ll hear some trams during the day, but it’s not like staying right on the Ring where buses rumble past your window all night. The building has that solid East German construction, so your upstairs neighbors aren’t going to keep you awake. There’s a little Edeka just around the corner on Ritterstraße – perfect for grabbing breakfast stuff or a bottle of wine without trekking across the city.

What struck me most was how the apartment actually feels lived-in rather than sterile. The kitchen isn’t just for show (you know those places with a microwave and nothing else) – there’s proper cookware, decent knives, even spices left by previous guests. The terrace… well, it’s not huge, but it catches morning sun beautifully and you can sit out there with coffee without feeling like you’re on display to the whole neighborhood. The Netflix thing might seem gimmicky, but after walking around Leipzig’s cobblestones all day, sometimes you just want to collapse and binge something familiar. The Wi-Fi actually works for streaming, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings. I noticed they’ve got a good mix of German and international channels too – helpful when you want to check weather or news.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “meet me at this random café at exactly 3:17 PM” nonsense. The space feels bigger than the photos suggest, probably because there’s actual storage for your stuff instead of just a chair where you pile everything. One small thing – the shower pressure is fantastic, which you don’t appreciate until you’ve stayed somewhere with that sad trickle situation. The 9.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works properly and the details are thoughtful. If you’re planning to explore beyond the city center, the tram connections from here are solid – you can get to the Plagwitz district or out to the Monument to the Battle of Nations without much fuss. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and actually feel comfortable cooking dinner instead of eating out every night.

  Super Lage, wenige Meter von der S-Bahn entfernt. Schöne Altbauwohnung, großzügig. Heizung funktioniert super.
  
  What could be improved: Keine Rolläden bzw keine Möglichkeiten zum Verdunkeln. Wohnung befindet sich im Erdgeschoss. Man hatte zwar gesehen, dass die Wohnung hergerichtet wurde (frische Betten, Waschbecken bzw. Badezimmer sauber) – jedoch lagen überall noch Krümel herum, Flecken und Dreck am Küchenfussboden, unter den Betten war nicht gewischt oder gesaugt (Wollmäuse, Plastikmüll), Flecken auf Sofamöbeln und Teppichen. Krümel in den Schubladen in der Küche. Das hat es ehrlich gesagt schwer gemacht sich dort wohlzufühlen…. Bei dem Preis erwarte ich einen anderen Standard
