Hotel 3 Linden Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Hotel 3 Linden on Kastanienweg, you immediately get that cozy neighborhood vibe that makes this place special. It’s tucked away in Alt-West, which honestly feels like one of Leipzig‘s best-kept secrets — close enough to everything but far enough from the tourist crowds. The building itself has that understated German charm, and you can tell right away this isn’t trying to be something it’s not. It’s a solid three-star property that knows exactly what it does well.

The Neighborhood Advantage

What I love about this location is how it strikes that perfect balance. You’re in a quiet residential area with tree-lined streets, but the city center is totally accessible when you want it. I mean, couples seem to really get this — they consistently rate the location over 8 out of 10, and I can see why. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like a real neighborhood rather than a hotel district. You’ll find local cafes and shops within walking distance, and the whole area has this lived-in authenticity that you don’t always get in more central locations.

Your Room and Comfort

The rooms here are what I’d call thoughtfully simple. Nothing flashy, but everything you actually need is there and works well. The beds are comfortable, the spaces feel clean and well-maintained, and there’s enough room to spread out without feeling cramped. What struck me is how many guests come back — apparently there are more repeat visitors here than at most other properties, which tells you something about the consistency. When people choose to return somewhere, it usually means the basics are done right and there aren’t any unpleasant surprises.

Breakfast and Practical Perks

The breakfast buffet is honestly better than you’d expect for a three-star place. It’s not elaborate, but it covers all the essentials and then some — fresh bread, local options, good coffee. You know what’s really nice though? The free parking situation. If you’re driving in Germany, you’ll appreciate not having to worry about finding a spot or paying extra fees. It’s one of those practical touches that makes your stay smoother without you having to think about it.

Why Guests Love It

This place works because it doesn’t try to be everything to everyone — it just does the fundamentals really well. The 8.2 rating reflects that reliability, and the high number of returning guests speaks to something you can’t fake: genuine satisfaction. You’re getting good value in a neighborhood that feels authentically Leipzig, with staff who seem to care about making sure things run smoothly. It’s the kind of place where you sleep well, start your day properly, and feel like you’ve discovered something a bit off the beaten path without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

Reviews of Hotel 3 Linden

  • Nice place, big room! – Sanita from Latvia – 22 June 2025 (9/10)

Very comfortable beds and two different pillows, nice big room!

  • Very good – Mikael from Sweden – 11 January 2025 (8/10)

It is close to the motorway and a very good stop over hotel.
    Nice breakfast…and kind staff.

  • Superb – Barbarakj from Belgium – 10 January 2025 (9/10)

Big, comfy rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, not far from the motorway makes it perfect sleep over when travelling

  • Lovely hotel but beware of restaurant staff. – Brennan from Ireland – 3 September 2024 (7/10)

Very pleasant hotel which was very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and the area was very quiet.

What could be improved: The staff in the restaurant (which is attached to the hotel) were very rude. I went in two days in a row and both times I was treated like a tax inspector! On the second visit, the waitress actually started shouting at me that I was not at the right table! I had to actually attempt to calm her down as she was clearly overworked and not able to handle somebody who just required a drink! It was a bad experience in an otherwise great hotel, but would prevent me from staying here again.

  • Merită! – 7emil7 from Romania – 19 August 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Nothing especially to be mentioned

  • We would definitely come back. – Marzena from Italy – 16 July 2024 (9/10)

Cute hotel with high standards with very accommodating g and caring staff.
Breakfast was good, they even had a basket with gluten free bread ready for us.
The little pond with the big fish was a great entertainment for our 3 year old.

What could be improved: Our room was at the street so it was quite noisy and hot as it was on the top floor.

  • Great out of town stay – Nick from United Kingdom – 3 July 2024 (9/10)

Quiet location near retail park. Clean and functional room. Staff efficient. Dined next door which was busy and only had two waiting staff on shift who coped admirably on a busy Friday night.

  • Superb – Alexandra from Norway – 25 April 2024 (9/10)

Perfect location for visiting Leipzig. Free parking and easy access to either the autobahn or the city center. Clean and comfortable room.

What could be improved: All fine!

  • Recommended for a comfortable stopover on a road trip – Laryssa from United Kingdom – 4 January 2024 (9/10)

Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable and shower was great.

What could be improved: Nothing really; the area is quite industrial but we booked it to be on the road in the morning so that was fine

  • Very good – Lundgren from Sweden – 4 November 2023 (8/10)

Great value for money. Will stay here when passing next year (2024).
