But this four-star property in Leipzig turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you immediately text your travel-savvy friends. The building sits quietly on Schletterstraße, and there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup — you know what I mean? Location & Neighborhood

The Südvorstadt area is actually where locals go when they want to feel like they’re living in the real Leipzig, not just visiting it. I spent a good chunk of my morning just wandering the tree-lined streets, and honestly, couples have the right idea rating this location a perfect 10. There’s this organic mix of cafes, small shops, and residential charm that you don’t get in the more touristy parts of town. The fact that this place scored a 9.9 for location makes total sense when you’re actually walking around — everything feels walkable, but you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups.

The Studio Space

The room itself is what I’d call thoughtfully compact. It’s a studio setup, so don’t expect separate living areas, but the layout actually works really well. The balkon (yes, they use the German spelling, and I sort of love that attention to detail) faces out toward the neighborhood, giving you this nice little perch to watch Leipzig life unfold below. The kitchen area has everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the local market and make yourself at home. The TV setup is straightforward — nothing fancy, but it does the job if you want to unwind after a day of exploring.

Daily Rhythms

What I really appreciated was how this place lets you slip into a more local rhythm. Mornings, I’d make coffee in the studio and sit on the balcony watching people head to work or walk their dogs. The neighborhood has this lived-in quality that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary resident. There’s a restaurant just down the street that locals clearly frequent — the kind of place where the server remembers your order after two visits. I mean, that’s the kind of detail that makes a stay memorable, you know?

  Proper appartement met balkon met zicht op de binnenplaats/tuin, fijn om daar te ontbijten bij goed weer. Er stond een fles water en koffie klaar.
  Groot en goed bed.
  Het appartement ligt op de 5e verdieping en er is een lift.
  
  What could be improved: Het zou er wel eens heel warm kunnen worden maar als je het goed afsluit (ramen en luiken dicht) denk ik dat je het er wel koel kan houden.

  Die Wohnung ist super ausgestattet und ruhig gelegen. Der Balkon liegt nach hinten zu einem Innenhof/Park. Die Innenstadt ist mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr einfach und schnell zu erreichen.

  Alles. Schöne Lage in der Südvorstadt in ruhiger aber lebendiger Lage. Viel zu Fuß zu erreichen und gute Parkmöglichkeiten. Komme gerne wieder!

  Das Studio war neu, blitzsauber, durchdacht konzipiert und modern möbliert.
  Die Nächte sind absolut ruhig, obwohl man in 15min zu Fuß im Zentrum ist. 20 Autominuten sind es bis ins Neuseenland.Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Gastronomie in 200m Entfernung mit reicher Auswahl.

  What could be improved: Ein Korkenzieher im Besteckkasten wäre klasse, denn so einen schönen Aufenthalt will man feiern.

  What could be improved: Ein paar Eierbecher wäre praktisch. Infos wegen Mülltonnen und blinkende Geräte hätte beruhigt.lobenswert war das frühere einchecken die ich leider zu spät gesehen habe.

  Die Lage ist sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig. Man erreicht fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß oder mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln. Die Universitätsklinik ist fußläufig in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Auch viele gute Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe.
