Sure, it’s only got 3 stars officially, but that 8.7 rating isn’t just inflated reviews – this apartment actually delivers. The floors creak a bit (it’s from the 1800s, what do you expect?), but everything works, the wifi is solid, and honestly, the character beats those sterile chain hotels any day. The location is pretty brilliant too – you can walk to the city center in about 15 minutes, but you’re far enough south that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM. I spent most evenings just wandering the nearby streets, grabbing coffee at little spots that probably haven’t changed their interior design since reunification.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (street parking fills up, especially during the week), but there’s decent public transport connections. The building entrance is one of those old German buzzer systems – just make sure you get clear check-in instructions beforehand. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than hotel-polished, which I mean in the best way possible. You’ll find books on the shelves, maybe some local art on the walls, proper kitchen equipment if you want to cook with ingredients from the Saturday market at Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz. It’s the kind of place where you actually feel like you’re experiencing Leipzig rather than just passing through it. Perfect if you want to see what this city is really about beyond the Bach museums and tourist routes.

  Sehr gute Ausstattung, alles vorhanden. Der Service war top. Die Wohnung ist einem neuwertigen Zustand und top gelegen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden es wieder buchen.

  Die Wohnung ist wunderbar geschnitten – ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und ein Wohnzimmer mit Schlafcoach und einer extra Schlafliege und sehr schön eingerichtet, Moden, hell, freundlich, sauber, leise und hat eine sehr gute Ausstattung, alles was man braucht für ein Städtetrip. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und es gibt auch einen Föhn. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was man benötigt.
  Die Wohnung liegt in der Südvorstadt und fußläufig zum nächsten Kneipenviertel und auch zu schönen Cafés.

  The flat is spacious, clean and at a nice location. Parking near the flat on the street was available free of charge.The Check-In was very easy. It's a typical german art nouveau flat with all it's pros and cons. The bed is on the hard side and we loved it.
  
  What could be improved: On the window in the bedroom was mold. The flat was too cold as we arrived and took quite some time to heat up.
