The location on Sasstraße is honestly perfect if you want to experience Leipzig like a local rather than just another tourist. You’re in Nord – which locals will tell you is where the real Leipzig lives and breathes – and it’s this fascinating mix of students, artists, and families who’ve been here for decades. The tram connections are actually better than you’d expect (the 4 and 7 lines will get you downtown in about 15 minutes), but honestly, I found myself walking everywhere because the neighborhood itself is so damn interesting. There’s this little bakery around the corner where the woman behind the counter remembered my coffee order by day three, and the whole area has this lived-in energy that you just can’t fake.

What really sets this place apart – and I’m guessing this is why it’s sitting at an 8.9 rating – is how they’ve managed to create something that feels both polished and genuine. The apartment itself is spacious in that European way where every square meter actually serves a purpose, and the kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real knives, decent cookware, not the usual hotel apartment nonsense). The bed was comfortable enough that I slept through construction noise one morning, which is saying something since I’m usually a light sleeper. The whole space has this warm, minimalist vibe with local artwork on the walls – nothing flashy, just pieces that actually complement the space rather than screaming “we’re trying too hard to be boutique.”

Parking was surprisingly painless for this part of the city, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly formal hotel rigmarole. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the walls are a bit thin, so if you’re unlucky enough to have neighbors who like late-night conversations, you’ll know about it. But that’s pretty standard for these converted buildings, and honestly, the neighborhood is quiet enough most nights that it wasn’t an issue. I loved how close you are to Rosental park – perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city buzz for a bit – and the fact that you can walk to Georg-Schumann-Straße for proper grocery shopping or a decent dinner without needing to venture into the tourist zones. It’s the kind of place that makes you understand why Leipzig has become such a magnet for people looking for authentic German city life without Berlin’s intensity or Munich’s pretensions.

  Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem großzügigen Apartment in Leipzig. Mittlerweile der Dritte! Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und perfekt für Familien oder Gruppen geeignet. Es gibt zwei große Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Doppelbetten, dazu noch ein halbes Zimmer mit einem Doppelstockbett, ideal für Kinder. Im Wohnzimmer ist es möglich die Couch zu einem weiteren Bett umzubauen. Besonders praktisch sind die zwei separaten Toiletten und das große Badezimmer, sodass auch bei mehreren Personen kein Gedränge entsteht.
  
  Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet und groß genug, um gemeinsam zu kochen, zu essen und gemütliche Abende zu verbringen. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch die Lage: Nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß zur Tram und zur S-Bahn, mit perfektem Anschluss ins Leipziger Zentrum. Die Straße selbst ist wunderschön — gesäumt von liebevoll sanierten Altbauten, die dem Viertel einen ganz besonderen Charme verleihen.

  The apartment was really big and comfortable for a group of 7 people. It has many facilities and all the staff necessary for my stay. The neighbors were nice and we didn't have any problem with them. The apartment has a nice location with good public transport. I strongly recommend it.
  
  What could be improved: We didn't like the fact that one restroom was just a toilet without a shower. However we could expect that as it was shown on photos. Apart from that the apartment is perfect.

  Super schönes Altbauapartement, mit allen eingerichtet, was man benötigt. Insbesondere für mehrere Personen hervorragend geeignet. Ein Rewe und S-Bahn Stationen sind in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen.

  Sehr schöne, geräumige Altbauwohnung, der man ansieht, dass der Vermieter sie ursprünglich für sich selbst eingerichtet hat – sehr geschmackvoll und funktional! Ideal für Familientreffen oder gemütliches Beisammensein mit Freunden.
  
  What could be improved: Die Handtücher waren ein wenig kratzig. Ein Weichspüler würde sowohl die Haptik als auch den Geruch verbessern.

  Wir waren in der Wohnung mit 3 Generationen: Großeltern, Eltern, Kinder. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist groß und sehr gut ausgestattet, und mit der Straßenbahn oder S-Bahn ist man sehr schnell in der Innenstadt. Wir können die Wohnung jedem ans Herz legen, der mit einer größeren Gruppe unterwegs ist.
