The Jungmannstraße location puts you right in Wahren, which I’ll admit isn’t the touristy center everyone talks about, but that’s sort of the point. You get this residential vibe where actual locals live, plus you’re close enough to hop on the tram and be downtown in maybe fifteen minutes.

The garage situation is clutch – I mean, if you’ve ever tried parking in Leipzig’s city center, you’ll appreciate having your own secure spot. No circling blocks or feeding meters every two hours. And that underfloor heating? Look, it sounds like a small thing until you’re padding around barefoot on a chilly German morning and the whole floor feels perfectly warm. It’s one of those details that just makes the space feel more like home than a rental. The house itself has that solid German construction feel – thick walls, good windows, the kind of place where you’re not hearing every footstep from upstairs because, well, you ARE upstairs (and downstairs, and everything in between).

What I really liked about Wahren is how it feels removed from the tourist crush but still connected. You’ve got local bakeries where people actually queue up in the morning speaking German, not English, and the S-Bahn connections are honestly pretty solid if you want to explore beyond Leipzig proper. The 8.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be some luxury palace, but everything works like it should, the space is generous, and you get that rare thing in European city travel: room to actually spread out. The neighborhood goes quiet at night too, which you’ll appreciate if you’re the type who needs proper sleep rather than falling into bed exhausted from tourist activities. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with more than one person or planning to spend some actual time in Leipzig rather than just checking it off a list.

  Durch den Kamin kann man es sich im Haus richtig gemütlich machen. Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir würden sogar noch einmal wiederkommen.
