You can literally walk to the Thomaskirche in about three minutes, which honestly makes you feel a bit smug when other tourists are figuring out the tram system.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel room. That balcony they mention? It’s not huge, but it’s actually usable – I had my morning coffee out there every day, watching the early commuters hustle down the cobblestones below. The smart TV was a lifesaver during a particularly rainy afternoon (Leipzig weather, you know how it is), and the whole setup just works. The kitchen area is compact but functional – I mean, you’re not going to host a dinner party, but heating up some fresh bread from the bakery around the corner or making proper coffee? Totally doable. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, despite being so central. I was worried about street noise, especially on weekends when the nearby bars get busy, but the windows do their job well.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward hovering around a reception desk. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it nails what it’s actually going for. The whole experience feels honest, if that makes sense. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where actual Leipzigers live and work, not some tourist bubble. I’d definitely book it again, especially if I wanted to explore the city properly without constantly calculating tram fare or walking times. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge – but honestly, with everything you need within a five-minute walk, you probably won’t miss it.

  What could be improved: Me and my wife couldn't connect to WiFi. But my daughter, who has a Vodafone.de sim card, was able to connect to WiFi. I and my wife tried the other provided WiFi address but failed to connect. We mentioned in booking.com that room is required for 3 adults, but found there were no pillows on the 2nd bed, no blanket.

  Das Apartment hat eine fantastische Lage – Innenstadt fußläufig und KarLi direkt um die Ecke – und ist folglich auch super (mit Bahn und Straßenbahn) zu erreichen. Es war sauber und gemütlich, wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt!
