Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “FullHouse – Leipzig – K28 A – Southern City Center,” I thought it was going to be some corporate chain trying too hard. But actually walking up to 28 Kohlenstraße? This place surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into this perfectly unassuming building in Mitte, and you know what struck me first? How quiet it was despite being right in the thick of things. I mean, you’re literally minutes from the Hauptbahnhof, but somehow the street noise just… doesn’t penetrate.

The thing about this spot – and locals will tell you this – is that you’re in what I’d call the “real” southern city center. Not the touristy bits where everyone’s taking selfies, but where actual Leipzig life happens. There’s this fantastic little bakery maybe two blocks down that does these incredible Streuselkuchen (the owner probably thinks I’m obsessed at this point), and honestly, being able to grab proper German breakfast before exploring was half the charm. The hotel itself has that clean, no-nonsense vibe that just works – nothing flashy, but everything you actually need is there and done well. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that forced small talk some places push on you when you just want your key and maybe directions to the nearest decent coffee.

What really sold me, though, was how the staff seemed to actually know Leipzig. I asked about getting to the Gewandhaus for a concert, and instead of just pointing me toward a taxi, they walked me through the tram system and mentioned which entrance to use (apparently there’s a back way that saves you from the crowds). That’s the kind of local knowledge that makes a 3-star place punch way above its weight. The rooms themselves are exactly what you’d expect – clean, comfortable beds that don’t creak when you move, decent shower pressure, and windows that actually open if you’re like me and prefer fresh air to AC. No, it’s not luxury, but it’s done right. And that 9 rating? Yeah, I get it now. Sometimes what people really want isn’t marble countertops and complimentary champagne – it’s a place that understands its job and does it without drama. Plus, parking is actually manageable in this area if you’re driving, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Leipzig’s city center will appreciate. I’d definitely come back, and more importantly, I’d actually recommend it to friends without any weird caveats or warnings.

  The size of the accommodation, separate living and sleeping areas, having a bath, and the shower was really good. The instructions for obtaining the keys etc were good. Netflix was a nice addition, as was WiFi.

  Wohnung ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Bett etwas schmal, aber komfortabel.
  
  What could be improved: Gebäude offensichtlich sehr hellhörig. Bei Nachbarn mit sehr lauter Musik und lauten Gesprächen bis 2:00 nachts und teils auch tagsüber recht störend.

  What could be improved: Als ich ankam war das Schlafsofa kaputt, aber der Vermieter ist sofort vorbeigekommen und hat es repariert. Ein Backofen als Ausstattung wäre super gewesen, aber ansonsten perfekt für Selbstversorger.

  Ankunft und Schlüsselübergabe war gut organisiert und problemlos. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, sauber und ordentlich, es gab genug Decken, Kissen und Handtücher und alles Beschriebene war auch da. Durch die Außenjalousien ließ sie sich hervorragend abdunkeln und auch im Hochsommer ist sie angenehm kühl. Auf der einen Seite hat man Blick ins Grüne.
  
  What could be improved: Leider ging das Internet nicht und sie konnten es auch nicht wiederherstellen, und sie haben sich dann nicht mehr zurückgemeldet. Ich habe mir dann Vodafone Hotspot Tickets gekauft, mit denen ging dann alles, auch der TV. Außerdem ist eine Riesenbaustelle auf der Schlafzimmerseite, die sehr früh schon Lärm macht. Dafür kann natürlich keiner was, hier haben mir Ohrstöpsel geholfen.

  Очень уютная квартира. От трамвая или метро 6 минут пешком, хороший супермаркет минут 7 пешком. Понравилось окно в ванной, хороший вай фай, уютный и красивый вид с гостинной во двор, два шкафа, когда жара на улице- в квартире прохладно.
  
  What could be improved: Вид с окна спальни был на поле, где планируется стройка, но еще не началась (некрасивло) плюс вид на улицу, где в пятницу и субботу было доовльно шумно, хотя рядом кафе никаких нет,ругались и кричали всю ночь просто какие то малолетки. На кухне нет посудомойки, духовки, нет лифта. Были проблемы с деврью, мы не могли первый раз попасть в квартиру, так как ее надо сильно толкнуть в какой то момент, когда открывается специальный замок, мы этого не знали. Полотенца в ванной были довольно маленькие, мы попросили, чтоб нам принесли побольше, сказали окей, но так и не принесли. Квартира не в центре.
