You know what caught me off guard about FewoCompany? Walking up Wilhelm-Plesse-Straße, I honestly wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another apartment building in Leipzig’s Nord district. But stepping inside – well, it’s one of those places that completely flips your expectations. The whole setup feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than a typical hotel, which I mean in the best possible way.

The location is actually pretty brilliant once you get your bearings. Nord isn’t the touristy heart of Leipzig, but that’s exactly why it works. You’re far enough from the Markt chaos to get real sleep (and trust me, you’ll sleep well here), but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you to the Gewandhaus or the old city center without any fuss. There’s this genuine neighborhood feel – you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning, smell fresh bread from the bakery around the corner, and actually feel like you’re experiencing Leipzig rather than just visiting it. The nearby streets have that lived-in quality that makes you want to explore on foot, especially if you’re the type who gets tired of sanitized hotel districts.

What really sets this place apart is how they’ve nailed the apartment-style accommodation without sacrificing the service quality you’d expect from a solid 4-star spot. The units feel spacious and thoughtfully designed – none of that cramped hotel room claustrophobia. I loved having actual counter space and a proper kitchenette setup, though honestly, with Leipzig’s food scene, you might not cook much. The staff genuinely knows the area and can point you toward spots that aren’t in every guidebook. Check-in was smooth, parking wasn’t a headache (which, if you’ve driven around German cities, you know is a minor miracle), and the whole experience just felt… easy. That 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where small details work in your favor without being flashy about it. Perfect for longer stays when you want your own space, but equally good for a weekend when you just want a comfortable base that doesn’t feel like every other hotel room you’ve ever stayed in.

  Das Apartment hat eine gute Raumaufteilung. Die Küche ist ausreichend mit Geschirr ausgestattet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Das Stadtzentrum von Leipzig ist mir der Straßenbahn in 20 Minuten zu erreichen.
  
  What could be improved: Es gibt eine Badewanne, aber keine Dusche. Nur ein Zimmer hat ein richtiges Doppelbett.

  Die Lage ist super. Alles da was man braucht. Waschmaschine. Spülmaschine. Wir waren begeistert. Nicht weit zur Straßenbahn. Ein sehr gutes Restaurant um die Ecke. Neumann heißt es glaube ich.
  Es war war die 2. Etage, sollte man bedenken. Aber sonst alles toll.

  Appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien, zoals wifi, tv, bad en over.
  
  What could be improved: Enkele kleine verbeterpunten:
  Appartement is redelijk donker vanwege kleine ramen en donkere wanden en plafonds. De wanden voorzien van een lichtere kleur zou meer licht in het appartement geven.
  Tijdens ons verblijf werkte slechts een van de vier kookplaten. Omdat we slechts wat wilden opwarmen was dit geen probleem.
  Lampen in woonkamer en hal zouden iets hoger mogen hangen. Nu stootten we malen het hoofd.

  Très bien situé et très fonctionnel. Propriétaire très dévoué, ayant par exemple substitué le Wi-Fi très rapidement.

  Wir haben am Anreisetag erfahren, dass die gebuchte Wohnung nicht bezugsfertig ist – wurden kulant umgebucht.
