The location on Prager Straße is honestly pretty sweet if you’re the type who likes being close to Leipzig’s big historical draws without dealing with the tourist crowd chaos. The Völkerschlachtdenkmal (that massive Battle of Nations monument) is basically a short walk away, which is perfect because – let’s be real – most people want to see it but don’t want to schlep across the entire city to get there. The neighborhood has this residential feel that actually makes you feel like you’re living in Leipzig rather than just passing through. There’s decent parking around here too, which anyone who’s driven in German city centers will tell you is worth its weight in gold.

What really works about this apartment is how it nails that sweet spot between having everything you need without feeling cramped. The 55 square meters might sound small on paper, but Germans are ridiculously good at maximizing space – honestly, I’ve stayed in “larger” places that felt way more cramped. That south-facing loggia is clutch, especially if you’re there during the cooler months when you want to catch whatever sunlight you can get. You can actually sit out there with your morning coffee and not feel like you’re in some generic hotel bubble. The full kitchen setup means you can hit up the local markets (there’s a decent one not too far off) and actually cook with German ingredients instead of eating out every meal – which, let’s face it, gets expensive fast. The whole place has that lived-in quality where everything works properly, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and you’re not constantly hunting for power outlets. It’s the kind of setup where you could easily settle in for a longer stay without feeling like you’re camping out in someone else’s space. Plus, being away from the main tourist strips means you get actual quiet at night, not the usual city center noise that keeps you up until 2 AM.

  Die sehr gute Lage mit direktem Anschluss an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel. Es ist eine wunderschöne Wohnung mit sehr netten Vermietern. Sehr schön war es, dass im hinteren Bereich ein wunderschöner Garten mit mehreren Spielmöglichkeiten für unsere Enkel war, ebenso wie Kaninchen und Hühner, was man icht erwartet hat. Die Wohnung war sauber und ordentlich sowie sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

  Hosts very friendly on arrival. Flat spacious and pleasant to be in, we stayed 4 days. Nice balcony looking on a quiet and green garden from top of the building. Probstheida is a pleasant part of the town, off the beaten track and still close enough to everything.
  
  What could be improved: The flat could use small improvements on available objects in the kitchen, cleanliness and an overall attention to details. No major issues, but this would be the small things holding back the flat from an even higher score.

  Lage der Wohnung nur 15 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt (mit der Tram). Einkaufen und Essen gehen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Nur 10 Minuten mit dem Auto vom Markkleeberger See. Parks fußläufig entfernt. Wohnung toll eingerichtet, alles vorhanden (selbst Kaffee und Gewürze), großes Bad, ruhige Dachterasse. Gartennutzung für Kids super.

  Von der Ferienwohnung aus kommt man problemlos mit der Straßenbahn vor der Haustür in die Innenstadt und zurück. So lässt sich Leipzig super entdecken. Die Wohnung war für uns als Familie sehr geräumig und der Garten, den man mitbenutzen kann, schafft zusätzlich Fläche. Unsere Kinder hatten viel Spaß auf dem Trampolin. Unsere Gastgeber waren wirklich sehr freundlich und immer für alle Fragen problemlos erreichbar.
