You know what? I almost walked right past Ferienwohnung Lipsia the first time I was looking for it on Endersstraße – it’s tucked into this quiet residential stretch in Alt-West that honestly feels more like where actual Leipzigers live rather than tourist central. Which, I mean, turned out to be exactly why I loved staying there. The building has that solid German apartment block vibe (nothing fancy from the outside), but once you’re inside, everything just works perfectly. The owner clearly gets what travelers actually need – there’s proper kitchen equipment that’s not just for show, wifi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and blackout curtains that actually block the morning light if you’re trying to sleep off jet lag.

What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re genuinely in Leipzig here, not some sanitized hotel district. There’s a little bakery about two blocks down where the bread smell hits you around 6 AM (in the best possible way), and you can walk to the Plagwitz area in maybe fifteen minutes – that’s where all the interesting galleries and cafes are hiding these days. The S-Bahn connection is close enough that you’re not lugging your suitcase for miles, but far enough that you don’t hear trains all night. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven in German cities will tell you is basically a small miracle. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra two nights because, well, why mess with a good thing?

Honestly, the 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there. It’s not trying to be some luxury experience – it’s just really, really good at being what it is. The apartment feels like staying at a friend’s place, if that friend happened to be obsessively organized and had excellent taste in kitchen appliances. Everything’s clean without that sterile hotel smell, and there are these small touches that show someone actually thinks about the guest experience. Like, proper hangers in the closet (why do so many places cheap out on hangers?), and a coffee setup that doesn’t require an engineering degree to operate. The whole Alt-West area has this lived-in character that you miss when you’re stuck in the city center – you’ll see people walking their dogs, kids heading to school, just normal life happening around you. If you’re the type who likes to feel like you’re actually visiting a place rather than just passing through it, this is your spot.

  Diese Wohnung ist ein echtes Schmuckstück! Wunderbar stimmig eingerichtet mit geschmackvollen Details.
  Es ist alles vorhanden, was angegeben ist. Die Ausstattung ist sehr hochwertig.
  Die Lage ist absolut ruhig und angenehm. Das Schlafzimmer liegt auf der Rückseite, also noch ruhiger als das Wohnzimmer.
  Der Balkon ist sehr groß und mit Sitzgelegenheiten ausgestattet. Bei entsprechendem Wetter kann man sich dort gemütlich aufhalten.
  Man ist in ein paar Minuten an der nächsten S-Bahnhaltestelle und in 15 Minuten in der Innenstadt (ohne Umsteigen).
  
  Die Gastgeberin ist stets sofort per Nachricht zu erreichen, wenn mal eine Frage auftaucht. Die Antwort kam stets prompt.
  Die Schlüsselübergabe durch das Restaurant im Erdgeschoss lief komplett unkompliziert. Eine Anreise bis 22 Uhr war kein Problem.
  
  Ich empfehle diese Wohnung 100%ig weiter und werde sie mir merken, falls ich noch einmal nach Leipzig komme.

  Großzügige Wohnung in einem Altbau. Alles hervorragend saniert, mit Fußbodenheizung, sehr sinnvoll gestaltetem Bad, Küchenzeile, mit allem was man braucht, und Schlafzimmer zum Hinterhof. Es war alles tipptopp sauber, dezent dekoriert und heimelig. Einen kleinen Aufzug gibt es ebenfalls, falls man nicht mit Gepäck auf der originalen Holztreppe herum poltern will.
  
  Kommt man nicht sehr spät zurück, findet man Parkplätze an der Straße.
  
  Die Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert.
  
  What could be improved: Nach einem ereignisreichen Tag auf den Beinen, lässt sich der Abend nicht gut lümmelnd zu zweit auf der Couch vorm TV verbringen. Kleine Couch, Programme nicht eingerichtet.

  Super tolle Wohnung in Lindenau ganz nah an Plagwitz und der Karl Heine Str. Mit sehr schönen großem Balkon, ruhig gelegen, gute Ausstattung, alles sehr bequem und komfortabel und nahezu neuwertig. Mit der Tram gut vom Hauptbahnhof zu erreichen. Schöne Gegend für Spaziergänge am Karl Heine Kanal usw. Schlüsselübergabe durch Hinterlegen des Schlüssels ganz unkompliziert. Lediglich die Verdunkelung im Wohn- und Esszimmer könnte etwas besser sein.
