You know what struck me first about Ferienwohnung Busch? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Leipzig’s Süd district, and I mean *actually* quiet – not that fake “peaceful oasis” nonsense you read about places that are basically next to construction sites. Brandvorwerkstraße feels like where locals live their real lives, with tree-lined sidewalks and that relaxed neighborhood vibe you don’t get in the touristy center.

The apartment itself is honestly better than I expected from the photos (and trust me, that rarely happens). Everything feels thoughtfully put together without being sterile – like someone actually lives here and cares about the details. The kitchen has proper coffee gear, not those sad little instant packets, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night; the building has thick walls and you’re far enough from the main drags that you won’t hear every tram rumbling by at 6 AM. Speaking of trams though – and this is the kind of thing I wish more places mentioned – you’re about a 10-minute walk to the nearest stop, which connects you straight into Leipzig’s center without any complicated transfers.

The Süd area itself is sort of having this moment right now. It’s not completely gentrified yet, so you’ll find genuine neighborhood spots mixed in with newer cafes and restaurants. There’s this bakery about three blocks away that locals line up at on Saturday mornings, and honestly, their pretzels alone made my week. The whole district has this lived-in authenticity that parts of central Leipzig are starting to lose. Parking was surprisingly painless too – street spots are actually available if you’re driving, though I’d recommend the tram system anyway since Leipzig’s public transport is ridiculously efficient. The host was really responsive when I had questions about check-in (I arrived later than planned), and they left clear instructions that didn’t require me to decipher some confusing lockbox situation. For a 4-star place with a 9 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any unpleasant surprises lurking behind the nice photos.

  Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war problemlos. Die Wohnungsübergabe sehr freundlich und unkompliziert.
  Die Wohnung ist schön, groß, hell, gut eingerichtet und sauber. Die Bilder im Netz entsprechen der Wahrheit 😀
  Ruhig gelegen, das Stadtzentrum und der Bahnhof sind gut erreichbar mit dem Bus 89 in ca. 10 Minuten. Die Bushaltestelle ist 2 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.

  A very nice, cozy and clean apartment approachable either by bus or tram from the Hauptbahnhof. The location was more than fine because there is everything you need in the neighborhood. Last but not least, the guests are really friendly and helpful.

  Excellent location , between Karli and Clara Zetkin Park . Leipzig zentrum approachable either via Karli or walking under tree shadow by the Park border. Tram to Zentrum and Hbf also very close.

  Location was great for us. Stores, restaurants, city transportation all really, really close. 15 minute walk to city center if you don’t want to take tram. Everything you need was in the apartment that was very clean and very comfortable. Staying in was just as good!!

  The apartment is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice.
  It was warm and comfortable and has absolutely everything you might need.
  This is my sixth time in Leipzig and the furthest I’ve stayed from the city centre, but it’s made me realise just how much is going on.
  
  It’s a comfortable and interesting 25 minute walk into the centre, and also has great tram and bus links within easy reach.
  
  I would definitely stay here again when I’m next in Leipzig.

  This is a great flat with space, nice and comfortable furnitures and cleaness. It is pretty new. The whole has a good atmosphere, what we enjoyed very much. The kitchen is very well equipped. The street of the flat is very quiet, its location is good, i.e., close to the center. Bikes can be stored in the doorway.
  They owner replied to my questions quickly. Both he and the lady who handed over the keys were very helpful. They handled our late arrival very flexible.
  Overall, we were satisfied with everything.
