I stayed here during summer and honestly, the morning sounds were just birds and the occasional dog walker – quite lovely, actually.

What I really appreciated was how the space felt like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property. The kitchen had proper cooking equipment (not just a sad hotplate and three mismatched plates), and there were little touches that showed someone cared – decent coffee in the cupboard, extra blankets that were actually warm, that sort of thing. The WiFi worked perfectly fine for video calls, which saved my bacon when I had to jump on a work meeting. Storage-wise, there’s enough wardrobe space that you’re not living out of a suitcase, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showerheads that makes you want to stay in there forever. The whole place gets brilliant natural light during the day – those big windows really make a difference.

Being in Stötteritz means you’re walking distance to some proper local spots. There’s this bakery about three blocks away that does incredible stollen (even outside Christmas season), and the weekly market on Saturdays has vendors selling everything from local honey to handmade soaps. If you’ve got kids, the nearby park has this adventure playground that’ll keep them busy for hours – much better than the touristy stuff in the center, and without the crowds. For groceries, there’s a decent Rewe within walking distance, plus a few smaller shops that stay open later than you’d expect.

The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed there. It’s not luxury – this is a solid 3-star place that delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. The hosts respond quickly to messages, check-in was straightforward (they actually met me there with the keys rather than dealing with some complicated lockbox situation), and when the bedroom got a bit stuffy during a heat wave, they brought over a fan the same day I mentioned it. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re getting genuine value rather than being nickel-and-dimed for everything.

If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like home base while you explore Leipzig – especially if you’re traveling with family or planning to stay more than just a night or two – this apartment hits that sweet spot of comfort, location, and reasonable pricing that’s getting harder to find these days.

  Es war vollkommen ausreichend für ein langes Wochenende und zwei kleinen Kindern. Die Wohnung war groß genug, um mit den Kindern Regentage zu überbrücken. Internet war gut genug um arbeiten zu können.
  Ausstattung wie angegeben. Genug Handtücher waren auch vor Ort. Wir können es weiterempfehlen. Lautstärke haben wir nicht als störend empfunden. Ja, es ist direkt an einer vielbefahrenden Straße, aber das sind wir gewohnt.

  Die Unterkunft hat ihren Zweck absolut erfüllt und genug Platz für alle geboten. Auch die Lage ist richtig gut und man hat Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der näheren Laufumgebung. Deswegen kann ich die Wohnung nur empfehlen und werde sie mir definitiv vormerken für das nächste Treffen mit meinen Freunden!
