The “Klein aber fein” part of the name isn’t kidding around – it really is small but incredibly well-designed, and that studio apartment setup works perfectly if you’re not planning to spend all day indoors anyway.

The location is interesting – you’re technically in Leipzig but in this quiet residential area that feels almost village-like. Albrechtshainer Straße is one of those streets where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, which was honestly refreshing after staying in city centers. The fact that it’s in an Innenhof (inner courtyard) means you’re set back from even the minimal street noise. I mean, Leipzig’s eastern districts have this sort of peaceful, residential vibe that you don’t get in the touristy parts, and Mölkau captures that perfectly. You’re still only about 15 minutes by tram to the city center, but it feels like you’re staying in someone’s neighborhood rather than a hotel district.

What really won me over was that terrace – it’s not huge, but it’s genuinely pleasant for morning coffee or evening wine. The whole place has this carefully curated feel without being fussy about it. Someone clearly put thought into the details, from the lighting to how they’ve maximized the space without making it feel cramped. The parking spot is clutch too, especially since street parking around Leipzig can be… well, let’s just say having your own designated spot eliminates that particular travel headache. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but everything it does, it does really well. You know what I appreciated most? The owners seem to understand that travelers want a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t feel generic. There’s personality here, but not in an overwhelming way. If you’re the type who prefers discovering local bakeries and cafes over hotel breakfast buffets, and you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing Leipzig rather than just passing through it, this works perfectly.

  El apartamento no es demasiado grande pero es cómodo, está en planta baja, con terraza propia, plaza de aparcamiento y otras zonas de descanso y lavandería comunes. Es un lugar muy tranquilo y con un gran espacio alrededor. Roberta fue muy atenta y amable.

  Unkomplizierte und freundliche online-Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin.
  Schönes, voll ausgestattetes, Apartment (sogar Tee und Kaffee waren vorhanden) in sehr ruhiger Lage.
  
  What could be improved: In der Apartment-Beschreibung steht "Doppelbett" – das Bett ist tatsächlich "nur" ein französisches Doppelbett. Ich hätte diese Unterkunft für meine fast erwachsene Tochter und mich nicht gebucht, hätten wir das vorher gewusst.
  Die Mischarmatur in der Dusche funktioniert nicht sehr gut. Das Wasser warm zu bekommen, war ein Geduldsspiel (war meist zu heiß oder kalt).

  Herzliche Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin im Vorfeld und auch vor Ort! Der Check-in war dadurch total easy.
  Es war super ruhig, was für mich extrem wichtig ist, da ich sehr geräuschempfindlich bin. Dennoch war die Entfernung zum Zentrum super. Also Top Lage!
  Eigener kostenloser Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür.
  Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet. Das Bett war sehr bequem. Wirklich eine tolle Unterkunft zum unschlagbaren Preis!

  Freundliche, ruhige Wohnung/ Appartement, gut für Zwei, es hat an nichts gefehlt, wir konnten in Ruhe für uns sein, Kontakt zum Vermieter/ Vermieterin wäre jederzeit möglich gewesen.
