The apartment itself is one of those classic German Altbau gems with those impossibly high ceilings and original details, but someone clearly spent time getting the design right. The balcony overlooks a pretty quiet street (which I appreciated after staying in noisier parts of the city center), and you can actually sit out there with your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display. The whole vibe is sort of effortlessly stylish – not trying too hard, but everything just works together. And can we talk about the parking situation for a second? Having a guaranteed spot in Leipzig is honestly a game-changer, especially in this area where street parking can be… well, let’s just say challenging.

What really sold me on the location was how walkable everything is once you know where you’re going. There’s this great little bakery about three blocks down that locals actually go to (not touristy at all), and the tram connections are surprisingly good – you can get to the Hauptbahnhof in maybe fifteen minutes. The neighborhood has this lived-in feeling that I love; kids playing in courtyards, people actually hanging laundry from windows, real neighborhood restaurants where you might be the only non-German speaker. It’s authentic in a way that’s getting harder to find. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not flashy luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done with genuine character. I’d definitely stay here again, particularly if I wanted to experience Leipzig beyond the standard tourist circuit.

  Mit dem Fahrrad ist man in 15 Minuten direkt in der Innenstadt.
  Moderne Altbauwohnung, Ausstattung gut, sehr sauber, sehr ruhiges Haus. SmartTV und W-Lan läuft prima.
  
  What could be improved: Das Duschen in der schmalen Badewanne ist schwierig, wenn man muskulär etwas eingeschränkt ist. Hier würde eine Handhalterung mehr Sicherheit bieten.
  Normale Kaffeemaschine wäre besser, als eine Expressomaschine, – dies ist aber ja auch Geschmacksache.
