The apartment itself sits up on the top floor – hence the whole “Dachgeschosswohnung” thing – and I was genuinely surprised by how spacious it felt once you step off that elevator. Thank god for that elevator, by the way, because hauling luggage up four flights would’ve been brutal. The two bedrooms are actually solid sizes, not those cramped European “bedrooms” where you’re basically sleeping in a closet. What really got me was the light – being up top means you get these great windows, and in the morning the whole place just brightens up beautifully. You can actually hear the city waking up below, which sounds annoying but it’s more charming than you’d expect. Just the gentle hum of Leipzig starting its day.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned if you want to experience Leipzig like someone who actually lives here. Nord isn’t the touristy center (that’s further south), but that’s exactly why it works. You’ve got real bakeries within walking distance – I’m talking about places where locals grab their morning rolls, not overpriced tourist spots. The tram connections are honestly fantastic from this area; you can get to the Hauptbahnhof in maybe fifteen minutes, and the old town is totally doable on foot if you don’t mind a twenty-minute walk. I actually preferred walking because you get to see how the neighborhoods shift and change as you head toward the historic center. Plus, parking around here isn’t the nightmare it is closer to the Markt – there’s usually street parking available if you’re driving.

What really sealed the deal for me was just how… functional everything was. The kitchen actually has proper counter space (revolutionary concept, I know), the Wi-Fi worked without any of that usual European internet drama, and the whole place felt clean without that over-sanitized hotel smell. It’s clearly been set up by someone who understands what travelers actually need – good water pressure, enough outlets for your devices, decent blackout capability for the bedrooms. The 9.1 rating honestly makes sense once you stay there; it’s not luxury, but it’s thoughtfully done in a way that just works. You know what I mean? Sometimes the best places are the ones where everything just functions smoothly without trying too hard to impress you.

  Die FeWo ist komfortabel und geschmackvoll ausgestattet, mit 2 Schlafzimmern und einem halben Zimmer neben der Küche mit Couch und Balkon! Sie liegt günstig nahe der Haltestelle Linie 12 in Leipzig-Gohlis, so dass man mit der Tram in 10 Minuten am Hauptbahnhof und im Zentrum ist. Der Aufzug erspart die Gepäckschlepperei. Im Umfeld der Wohnung gibt es auch ein gutes Café-Bistro und Restaurants in der Coppistrasse. Die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgte unkompliziert per Code.

  What could be improved: Die Kommunikation hätte besser laufen können. Wenn neben dem WLAN-Schlüssel eine Information gelegen hätte, dass das WLAN defekt ist, hätten wir uns einige Versuche damit erspart. Die Info kam erst auf telefonische Nachfrage und die Formulierung des Angebots, die Störung durch den Austausch gegen den neuen, schon vorhandenen Router am Folgetag zu beheben, machte unmißverständlich deutlich, dass der Gast stört.

  It was clean. The location is good with tram stop and supermarket close by. Cute children's books.
  
  What could be improved: Ad is full of lies. First, There is NO ON- SITE parking. Just street parking. So better get here early and not use your car if you want a spot. Second, there is no "three separate bedrooms". There are 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa in the kitchen. If the sofabed is in use you cannot use the kitchen or have a place to sit and talk without disturbing them. Only one bedroom has dark curtains so be prepared to wake up at sunrise every day in the other rooms. The apartment is VERY hot and loud. The "balcony" is dirty and has no furniture, not even a stool. There is no cooking pan, only pots. No microwave. The hair dryer is broken. The shower head is also broken and does not stay up so you have to hold it. The towels are thin and old and feel like sandpaper. Communication with the host is absolutely horrible. Host refused to give me any timely information and acted as if it's my fault for expecting an honest ad.
