I mean, Mitte is where everything’s at – the cobblestone streets around Marktplatz are just a few minutes’ walk from most locations, and you know what? You’ll find yourself stumbling onto those little side streets with the best cafés that tourists usually miss completely.

The apartments themselves are honestly impressive – and I’m pretty picky about accommodations. Each one feels like someone actually lives there (in the best way), not like a sterile hotel room where everything’s bolted down. The kitchens are properly equipped – I’m talking real coffee makers, not those sad little pods – and the beds are the kind where you actually sleep in instead of checking out early because your back’s killing you. What really got me was the attention to small stuff: good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets where you need them, and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re washing up in a closet. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters when you’re trying to figure out Leipzig’s tram system or hunting down that underground jazz club everyone talks about. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on which location you get – it’s city center life, you know – but honestly, you won’t need a car much. The tram connections are fantastic, and most of the good stuff is walkable anyway.

Here’s the thing that sets Cora apart from your typical apartment rentals: they’ve somehow nailed that sweet spot between having your own space and getting actual service when you need it. I had a question about the heating system (those German radiators can be mysterious), and someone was there to help within an hour – not the next day, not after three email exchanges. The neighborhood vibe changes depending on which location you land, but they’re all genuinely nice areas where you’ll hear church bells in the morning instead of traffic, and maybe some late-night laughter from the biergartens during warmer months. That 9.6 rating isn’t just numbers – you can feel it in how everything works the way it should, from the key codes to the shower pressure. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Leipzig instead of just visiting it, and you appreciate having space to spread out without sacrificing quality, this place makes total sense. Just book early if you’re planning a trip during Bachfest or around the Christmas markets – Leipzig’s not exactly Berlin when it comes to accommodation options, and the good spots fill up fast.

  Our stay at Cora Apartments in Leipzig was absolutely lovely! The apartment looked just like the pictures—clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The black-out curtains were a fantastic touch, ensuring a restful night’s sleep, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient for exploring the city.
  
  One of the standout features was the abundance of hot water—perfect for a family of six, who all slept comfortably in the apartment. The host was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, providing coffee, toiletries (though no conditioner), and ensuring everything was in order for our stay. The couch was very comfortable, and the TVs in every room were a great bonus for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
  
  I typically avoid Airbnb stays because I don’t like dealing with unclear rules or uncertainty about what will be supplied, but this experience was perfect. I honestly wish I could transport this accommodation to every city I visit in Europe—it was that good!
  
  What could be improved: One recommendation: I would suggest adding more blankets. While the beds each had a thinner comforter, they were too small for the bed—barely covering the sides. For a better experience, I’d recommend either larger comforters (American-style, well over the sides) or European-style bedding where each person has their own comforter (two per bed). It would also be lovely to have more throw blankets, both in the bedrooms and additional ones for the couch.

  We booked an apartment with Cora based on its proximity to the Quarterback Arena, as we were in town for the Björk concert. We were met personally at the apartment and shown around to a cozy flat decorated with impeccable taste. We only stayed for one night, but slept soundly and enjoyed relaxing in the space while we were there – thanks for having us!
