The name sounds intimidatingly German, but honestly, it’s just a gorgeous 5-room boho apartment that feels like your artsy friend’s place – if your artsy friend had incredible taste and actually kept things clean. I mean, “Charmantes 5-Zi-Boho” basically translates to “charming 5-room boho,” which is exactly what you get, no false advertising here.

The location on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße is actually perfect if you want to feel like a temporary Leipzig local. You’re right in Mitte, which means you can walk to the Nikolaikirche in about ten minutes (where those famous Monday demonstrations started back in ’89), and there’s this fantastic little coffee roastery called Specialty Coffee around the corner that locals queue up for. The street itself is pretty quiet for being so central – I was worried about tram noise, but honestly, you barely notice it. What you will notice is how easy it is to grab groceries at the Rewe just down the street, or duck into one of those traditional Leipzig pubs when you don’t feel like cooking.

The apartment itself has this lived-in bohemian vibe that actually works – we’re talking real vintage pieces mixed with modern touches, not that Instagram-fake boho stuff with mass-produced “vintage” signs. The workspace they mention is genuinely useful too (decent desk, good lighting, reliable wifi), which matters if you’re doing the digital nomad thing or just need to catch up on emails. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’re there – everything works properly, it’s spotlessly clean, but it still feels like a home rather than a sterile hotel room. I particularly loved the kitchen setup; you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to, and there’s enough space for everyone to hang out while you do it. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the vintage charm means the bathroom fixtures are a bit quirky – not bad, just… characterful, you know? But honestly, that’s part of what makes the place feel special rather than cookie-cutter. If you’re the type who appreciates staying somewhere with actual personality, where you can spread out and live a bit rather than just crash, this hits the sweet spot.

  Very central and spacious apartment, easy check in and communication with owners. We found parking street parking easily.

  Vorsicht beim Parken in der Seitenstrasse. Die Schilder sind mit Aufklebern beklebt. Aldi lässt Samstagvormittag abschleppen. Wir hatten bei Abreise ein Auto weniger 😬

  Die Wohnung war toll gelegen, sauber und Parkplätze waren gut zu finden. Auch der Kontakt zum Gastgeber war immer freundlich, reibungs- und komplikationslos 🙂

  What could be improved: Einziges Manko: durch die Vorhänge lassen sich die Räume nicht vollständig abdunkeln, was für sehr lichtempfindliche Menschen (wie einen meiner Mitreisenden) schwierig ist.
