You know what caught me off guard about CASARINA? I expected just another apartment rental, but this place actually feels like someone’s thoughtfully designed home that they happen to let travelers borrow. The location on Nordstraße is honestly perfect – I mean, you’re literally steps from Leipzig Zoo (I could hear the morning bird calls from some of the more exotic residents), but it’s tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant tourist foot traffic.

The sauna was the real surprise here. Most apartment rentals throw around amenities they barely maintain, but this one’s clearly been looked after. After spending a day wandering through Leipzig’s Mitte district – which, let’s be honest, involves way more walking than you initially plan for – having your own private sauna feels almost luxurious. The whole setup is surprisingly well thought out too. The apartment itself has this warm, lived-in charm without feeling cluttered or overly personal. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with quirky local decorations like some places do, but there are enough touches that remind you you’re in Leipzig, not some generic European city.

What I really loved was how easy it made exploring the area feel. You can walk to the Gewandhaus in about fifteen minutes, and the tram connections are right there when you want to venture further out. Parking was actually manageable too – not something I’d say about most places in Mitte. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there; it’s one of those places where all the small details just work. The check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and honestly, the sauna alone made those chilly Leipzig evenings so much better. If you’re planning to spend real time in the city rather than just passing through, this feels like the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel human.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Leipzig at least two months ahead for major events like the Bach Festival, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near cultural attractions.

  Eine sehr saubere und nette Wohnung, recht ruhig gelegen.
  Nachts konnte man sehr gut mit geöffneten Fenstern schlafen.

  Wir waren super zufrieden mit der Unterkunft. Die Lage ist ideal, um schnell in der Innenstadt zu sein oder natürlich direkt fussläufig zum Zoo zu gelangen. Auch das Stadion ist leicht zu erreichen.
  
  Wir waren mit zwei Erwachsenen da und konnten uns dann gut auf das Schlafsofa und das Bett aufteilen. Können uns gut vorstellen in diese Wohnung mit mehreren Personen wieder zu kommen, da ausreichend Schlafplätze vorhanden sind.
  Die Wohnung eignet sich hervorragend für einen Städtetrip in diese schöne Stadt!
  
  What could be improved: Leider gab es keine direkten Parkmöglichkeiten. Haben dann aber doch ein paar hundert Meter entfernt einen Parkplatz an der nahe gelegenen Kirche gefunden.
  
  Ein Hinweis in der Wohnung für die Saunanutzung im Keller wäre gut 🙂 Den Hinweis haben wir dann auf Nachfrage aber von der Gastgeberin bekommen.

  Die Lage ist für mich so einzigartig in Leipzig 10min zu Fuß vom Stadtzentrum und dem Hauptbahnhof entfernt und etwa 3min zur nächsten Straßenbahn und dem Lebensmittelladen der alles hat was man für einen Aufenthalt in Leipzig benötigt. Die Umgebung ist für die beschriebene Lage sehr ruhig gelegen was man im ersten Moment gar nicht denken würde. Wohnung ist hell und modern eingerichtet. Bett sowie Schlafcouch sind sehr bequem. Ausgesprochen gut ausgestattete Küche was Geschirr und Kochutensilien angeht.

  Modern and comfortable apartments located 10 minutes walk from the center and 5 minutes from the wonderful Zoo, but there are no noisy streets nearby, so the house is quiet. The apartment is clean, has nice furniture and comfortable beds. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. There is a place to work on a laptop. You can leave your bike or stroller in the yard. There is free parking not far from the house (near the church). The owner of the apartment Frau Dieminger is very friendly, she brought us the keys herself and gave us all the instructions. Many thanks for your welcoming. If we are in Leipzig again, we will definitely stay at your apartments 🙂
