Capri by Fraser Leipzig Overview
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in Leipzig over the years, and Capri by Fraser on Brühl really gets it right in ways that surprised me. You know that stretch of Brühl right in Mitte? It’s actually perfect – close enough to the action that you can walk to Markt square in maybe eight minutes, but far enough from the weekend chaos around Barfußgässchen that you’ll actually sleep.
The building itself has this interesting modern-meets-historic thing going on that works better than it should. I mean, Leipzig’s city center is all about that mix anyway, so it fits. What really sold me though was the apartment-style setup – and I’m talking proper kitchenettes, not those sad little coffee stations most places give you. Honestly, after three days of sampling every schnitzel in town, being able to grab fresh stuff from the Rewe around the corner and actually cook felt like luxury. The front desk staff seemed genuinely surprised when I asked about the nearest grocery store, which tells you most guests probably don’t bother, but they knew exactly where to send me.
The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – lots of natural light (crucial during those grey Saxon winters), and the beds are actually comfortable, not just hotel-firm. There’s this attention to detail that you notice after a day or two… like how the workspace is positioned so you’re not staring at a wall, and the bathroom has enough counter space that you don’t have to play Tetris with your toiletries. Parking was straightforward too, which – if you’ve ever tried to navigate Leipzig’s old town with a rental car – you’ll appreciate more than you expect.
What really sets this place apart is how it works for different kinds of trips. I’ve been there for work conferences and weekend getaways, and it adapts well to both. The location means you can walk to Bach Museum or St. Thomas Church without planning your whole morning around transportation, but you’re also close enough to the train station that day trips to Dresden or even Berlin feel manageable. And here’s something I didn’t expect – the neighborhood actually comes alive in the evenings. There’s this great little wine bar two blocks down that locals frequent, and the whole area has this lived-in energy that’s missing from some of the more touristy spots.
The 9-star rating isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense, either. It’s the kind of place where small things work properly – strong wifi, hot water that stays hot, elevators that come when you press the button. Nothing groundbreaking, just competent hospitality without the pretension. I’ve recommended it to friends visiting Leipzig, and they’ve all had similar experiences. It’s become my default booking when I’m in town, which honestly says more than any formal review could.

Reviews of Capri by Fraser Leipzig
Very good – Joycelyn from Singapore – 6 August 2025 (8/10)
Good, accessible location. Friendly staff. Nice to have a kitchenette with basic cookware, although it wasn't at a best angle in the room. There was complimentary fruit-infused water for guests at the lobby.
What could be improved: The request for house-keeping was a bit clunky. We stayed for an extended period of time and were told housekeeping was every 3 days – which was not too much of an issue – until the days the housekeeping timing clashed with the times that we were in the room – then we missed the housekeeping… (what a bummer!)brilliant place and having the complimentary laundry was amazing highly recommend. – Stewart from Australia – 4 August 2025 (9/10)
did not have breakfast there .

Capri is in an excellent location close to transport, sights, shops & eateries. Loved the kitchenette and access to a laundry, which is complementary. I would highly recommend Capri by Fraser.
What could be improved: Nothing. It was all goodBeautiful hotel right by Leipzig HBF – Ar from United States – 24 July 2025 (10/10)
The hotel is right by the central station and is about a 5-10 min walk to the city center. The room is very spacious, had comfortable beds, and had big windows that could be opened at the top or made into a small balcony. The staff were wonderful. The hotel also has a laundry room which was definitely a plus.
What could be improved: Nothing.Would stay again. – Hc from United Kingdom – 20 July 2025 (9/10)
Room was nice. Parking on site – though quite tight spaces. Good location for sightseeing, restaurants etc. Felt secure. Breakfast was good with a lot of choice. Some of the tables in the dining room had built in wireless chargers. No complaints.
