You know what struck me first about this place on Torgauer Straße? The sheer amount of space – and I mean that in the best possible way. When they say “big apartments,” they’re not kidding around. I’ve stayed in plenty of Leipzig accommodations that promise spacious rooms and deliver glorified closets, but these folks actually deliver. The bathrooms alone are probably bigger than some entire hotel rooms I’ve crashed in around Europe.

Here’s the thing about Volkmarsdorf that most people don’t realize – it’s one of those Leipzig neighborhoods that’s quietly having a moment. Sure, it’s not right in the Altstadt where all the tourists cluster, but honestly? That works in your favor. You’re still only about 15 minutes by tram to the main action (the stop is practically at your doorstep), but you get to experience Leipzig like someone who actually lives here. There’s this great little bakery just down the street that locals hit up for weekend brunch, and the area has that authentic East German architectural vibe without feeling run-down or sketchy.

The single bed setup is actually genius if you’re traveling with friends or colleagues – I mean, no one has to deal with someone else’s sleep schedule or, let’s be honest, snoring habits. Each person gets their own proper space, but you’re still sharing the common areas for hanging out. The kitchens are well-equipped too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights. I actually cooked a few meals there and didn’t find myself missing basic equipment like a decent knife or cutting board (you travelers know what I’m talking about).

Parking isn’t the nightmare you might expect in Leipzig – there’s street parking that doesn’t require a PhD in German municipal regulations to figure out. The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense feel that makes you confident your stuff is secure. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “we need seventeen forms of ID and your firstborn child” bureaucracy some places throw at you.

The 9.3 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not trying to be some Instagram-worthy boutique experience with overpriced cocktails in the lobby – it’s just really, really good at being what it is. Clean, spacious, functional, in a neighborhood where you can grab groceries without planning a military operation. The kind of place where you find yourself thinking “I could actually live here for a while” rather than counting down the days until checkout.

  Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in der Boho Chic von Sven und Tilmann.
  
  Mit 7 Leuten hatten wir jede Menge Platz, und die Räume waren alle neu und stilvoll eingerichtet. Alles war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ein toller Ort für Gruppen – wir kommen gerne wieder

  Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Unterkunft, in der wir als Familie mit unseren Kindern übernachtet haben. Die Einrichtung ist neu und sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet – besonders die Betten fanden wir äußerst bequem und die Kinder haben sich gefreut zusammen zu schlafen.
  Es scheint, dass die Unterkunft ursprünglich eine Ladeneinheit war, die jedoch aufwändig und mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviert wurde. Die Gastgeber haben sich wirklich viel Mühe gegeben und das Ergebnis ist beeindruckend.
  
  Obwohl die Unterkunft etwas außerhalb liegt, ist sie mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut erreichbar und es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze. Direkt gegenüber befindet sich ein Lidl, was uns für Einkäufe sehr gelegen kam. Der Hinterhof ist ruhig und bot eine entspannende Atmosphäre, die wir sehr genossen haben. Insgesamt hatten wir einen fantastischen Aufenthalt und würden die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen.

  Ich habe spontan für mich und Freunde gebucht.
  Die gesamte Wohnung war modern eingerichtet und sauber, was uns von Anfang an ein angenehmes Gefühl gegeben hat.
  
  Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war ebenfalls super. Er hat schnell geantwortet, war sehr freundlich und hat uns bei Fragen hilfsbereit zur Seite gestanden.
  
  Insgesamt hat diese Ferienwohnung unsere Erwartungen erfüllt.
