I spent most mornings grabbing coffee from this little place around the corner (the hotel coffee’s decent, but you know how it is), then wandering over to the Bach Museum or just people-watching in the old town square. The Wintergartenstraße itself is pretty quiet, which means you’ll actually sleep through the night – something I definitely can’t say about some of the hotels closer to the nightlife district. Parking was surprisingly painless too, though I’d recommend booking a spot in advance if you’re driving, especially during trade fair season when this whole city goes absolutely mad with business travelers.

The suites themselves are genuinely spacious – not just “European spacious” where you can barely open your suitcase. I’m talking about actual room to spread out, with a separate sitting area that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The design is modern but warm, lots of natural light, and honestly the bed was one of those “I might need to ask what brand this mattress is” situations. Staff at check-in were friendly without being overly chatty (which I appreciate when I’m tired from traveling), and they gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps. You know what really impressed me though? The little details – good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually work, and enough outlets near the bed for all your devices. It sounds small, but when you’re used to hotels where you have to choose between charging your phone and having a bedside lamp, these things matter. The 8.3 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Leipzig, but it does everything well and gives you a genuinely comfortable base for exploring the city.

  Easy to find from the train station, just a few minutes walk. Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms clean, tidy, spacious and well decorated. Comfortable bed. Generous buffer breakfasts, with a wide variety.
