Apartmenthotel Quartier M Overview
You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Leipzig, but Apartmenthotel Quartier M on Markgrafenstraße actually surprised me. I mean, you walk up to this building in Mitte and it’s got this understated elegance thing going on – not flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into it. The lobby smells faintly of that expensive hotel candle scent (you know the one), and honestly, the check-in was smoother than most places I’ve been.
The apartment itself – well, it’s what you’d get if someone with actual taste designed a space for people who travel a lot. Everything just works, which sounds boring but is actually rare. The kitchen isn’t just for show; I actually cooked breakfast there because the Rewe on Grimmaische Straße is like a two-minute walk. The bed is one of those where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning, and the blackout curtains are legit – important when you’re dealing with those bright German summer mornings. What really got me was the attention to small stuff. The shower pressure is perfect, there’s enough outlets by the bed (why is this so hard for hotels to figure out?), and the wifi actually reaches every corner of the room.
Being right in Mitte means you’re basically in the heart of everything without the tourist trap feeling. The Gewandhaus is practically around the corner, and if you’re into the whole historic thing, you can walk to the old Stasi headquarters – though honestly, I preferred just wandering down to the Market Square for coffee. There’s this little café called Kaffeehaus Riquet that locals love, maybe five minutes away. The tram connections are solid too; you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without thinking about it. I stayed there during one of those random Leipzig festivals (there’s always something happening), and while the streets got a bit lively, the windows kept most of the noise out. One small thing – parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but that’s just Mitte for you. The staff actually gave me decent advice about where to find a spot that wouldn’t cost a fortune. Look, it’s definitely not cheap, but for what you get – the location, the space, the fact that everything actually functions properly – it feels worth it. It’s the kind of place where you don’t spend your vacation dealing with broken air conditioning or hunting for decent coffee.

Reviews of Apartmenthotel Quartier M
Superb – Sarah from United States – 5 August 2025 (9/10)
This was a great spot: the instructions were clear and the staff was quick to answer on the weekend even when they were not physically there. The natural food store right below takes the cake as it made the place smell like bread in the morning.
Great stay, downtown, close everything…but try to avoid to come by car to save on parking! – Heise from Germany – 2 August 2025 (9/10)
Location is great, Room exceeded expectations, it was big, very modern, very clean, and it was quiet considering it was right in the centre with restaurants around and the usual surrounding traffic. Leipzig is a mess when it comes to parking, so, if you have a choice, come by train and take a taxi, itll save you the hassle of approx. 20 Euros per day parking.
What could be improved: Well, i asked if there is a charge for Pets. Regarding the question, if there is a charge for pets we have been told "Dogs are always being charged for, and it would be written on booking.com as well as THEIR website". I have to be granular in this case. Booking.com states "Charges MAY apply" which means what it says, "MAY apply", NOT that they actually do. After reading through their actual website, it says they charge, that is correct. So, do not rely on booking.com and doublecheck info on their actual website for more info if you have specific requirements. To be clear, I don't mind spending 10Euro per night for the dog if i can afford 280 for 2 "human" nights lol, but before i'm being roasted with "whats the big deal then", it should be made sure to have accurate information on both websites, if there are. Anyway, i would come back, but without the dog, unrelated to the costs for the pet, a simple convenience. 🙂Good location. – Graeme from Australia – 14 May 2025 (10/10)

The apartment hotel is located in very pleasant place, near most of Leipzig attractions. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet. Even at winter time there was enough heat in the apartment.
There are many utensils in the kitchen.
