abito Suites Overview
You know what struck me first about abito Suites? It’s got this understated confidence thing going on – sits right on Grimmaische Straße like it belongs there, which honestly, it does. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Leipzig’s old town, and I’m talking proper old town, not some touristy reconstruction. The building itself has that sleek, modern vibe that doesn’t try too hard to compete with all the baroque architecture around it, which I actually appreciate.
The suites themselves are… well, they’re proper suites, not those fake “junior suites” some places try to pass off. There’s actual separation between the sleeping and living areas, and the kitchenettes are surprisingly functional – I actually used mine, which says something because hotel kitchens are usually just for show. The whole place has this clean, minimalist aesthetic that somehow feels warm rather than sterile. Maybe it’s the lighting, or the fact that everything just works without being fussy about it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no lengthy speeches about amenities, just friendly efficiency.
But here’s the thing that really sells this place: the location is absolutely unbeatable if you want to experience Leipzig properly. You’re a two-minute walk from the Marktplatz, so you’ll hear the church bells from St. Nicholas (which is charming until 6 AM, just saying). The famous Auerbachs Keller is practically next door – you know, where Goethe set that scene in Faust – and honestly, half the restaurants and bars worth visiting are within stumbling distance. I kept running into the same guests at different spots around the neighborhood, which tells you something about how central you are. The shopping arcade at Mädler Passage is right there too, perfect for rainy afternoons or when you need to kill time before dinner.
Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area – it’s all pedestrian zones and narrow streets – but the hotel staff actually knows the neighborhood parking situation, which saved me some headaches. The 8.9 rating makes sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not flashy or trying to impress you with over-the-top service, but everything just works really well. The rooms stay quiet despite being in the middle of everything, and the whole operation has this effortless, professional feel. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you picked well without making a big deal about it.
Apartments in Leipzig provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Saxon markets and cook with regional German specialties.

Reviews of abito Suites
Excellent, but a close encounter of the third kind when checking in!! – Sharafuddin from Netherlands – 23 July 2025 (9/10)
Everything was very good.
What could be improved: The check-in procedure was a bit unusual and somewhat complicated.Would highly recommend it – Adriana from Germany – 14 June 2025 (10/10)
Beautiful and spacious (looks just like the pictures) and very centrally located. The self made breakfast was also a really nice touch 🙂
Fantastic location. – Peter from United States – 24 April 2025 (10/10)
The room was beautiful and modern, with incredible views.
What could be improved: Using a kiosk to check-in isn't my cup of tea, but it went smoothly enough. I did not realize the provided breakfast was in the in-room refrigerator until the next afternoon. There could have been a sign clarifying that. Parking a bit of a haul to the underground.Amazing location, modern and clean property – Jurate from Lithuania – 22 April 2025 (9/10)
Great location, modern style, very clean.
What could be improved: Noise from the street was heard. Nothing could be done about it.Exceptional – Jurgita from Lithuania – 12 March 2025 (10/10)
Very good place. You can park a car for €20/night in the parking station nearby. Very clean and nice room.
What could be improved: All goodVery good – Benjamin from Germany – 1 February 2025 (8/10)
good location, lots of space, good breakfast
What could be improved: noisy guests in an adjacent roomSuperb – Julia from United States – 29 January 2025 (9/10)
Very clean, beautiful view and the breakfast is everything you need.
Perfect location.
What could be improved: The check in process over the mashine. It took a while until it worked, had to call the number to get assistance.Superb – Martha from United States – 24 January 2025 (9/10)
Accessible to everything, but tucked away. The minibar was a lovely addition as we're the morning rolls
What could be improved: Wish I could have turned the temperature down a bit or opened a windowGreat location for exploring Leipzig – Stephanie from Australia – 11 December 2024 (10/10)
Brilliant location, comfortable clean apartment, good breakfast in the mini bar and fresh rolls delivered in the morning
What could be improved: Automated check in was a bit strange but it workedYou can't get more central than that! – Mike from Germany – 20 November 2024 (9/10)
We liked the room, its colors, the big bed and nice view over the Augustus Platz of Leipzig. We liked that we were so central, that almost everything was just 5 to 10 min away for us. The room is not the newest and most stylish, but charming and welcoming to stay longer than just for sleep.
What could be improved: There was nothing that we did not like. If you expect a proper breakfast, there is none. Buns will hang on the door and everything else will be placed in the fridge. Keep that in mind!
The room could have some more outlets or at least USB connectors. I am not sure how many people need a landline and Ethernet ports in their rooms. 😉
