The tram connections are surprisingly solid from here, and you’ll find yourself in the city center faster than you’d expect.

The apartment itself has that satisfying “two proper rooms” setup that the name promises – none of that cramped studio nonsense where your bed doubles as your dining table. The furnishings have this clean, understated German efficiency thing going on, but warmer than you might imagine. Everything actually works, which sounds like a low bar but honestly, after staying in places where the shower pressure could barely rinse shampoo, you appreciate when someone’s clearly thought through the basics. The kitchen setup is legitimate enough that I found myself cooking breakfast instead of hunting for cafés at 7 AM – there’s something oddly satisfying about making coffee while watching the neighborhood wake up through those large windows.

What really won me over, though, was how quiet it gets in the evenings. Anger-Crottendorf isn’t one of those hyper-gentrified districts yet, so you get this authentic residential vibe without the constant construction noise or late-night party crowds. The street has these mature trees that create this canopy effect in summer – I stayed in May and could hear birds in the morning instead of traffic, which in a city the size of Leipzig is pretty remarkable. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just… works smoothly. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, parking wasn’t the usual urban nightmare, and the whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s well-organized spare room than staying in a rental. If you’re the type who values sleeping well and having space to actually unpack your suitcase – rather than needing to be in the thick of tourist central – this spot delivers in ways that surprised me.

  The apartment was perfect for us. Check in was contactless. It was clean and spacious and the owner provided everything you could need – kitchen condiments, dishwasher, toiletries, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, washing machine. They even had candy near the door and a beer, wine and water waiting in the fridge. There was a CD player and it was a delight, replaying old songs. The bed was very comfortable. There are two sky lights, above the kitchen and above the dining, so we got lots of natural light. The surroundings were very quiet. The apartment is on the ground floor, so it's accessible for people with mobility issues. Location is a bit away from the center, but we didn't have any problems. Aldi supermarket was a ten min walk. s-bahn and buses available within a few min walk. There was also a petrol pump nearby where you could buy emergency groceries, we didn't visit.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. It was lovely. Just a word of caution to folks who plan to sleep in the living room, the sky lights make it quite bright in the morning.

  that apartment was very good, clean and comfortable. the owner was very friendly. you could find everything that you need for your eating, drinking and ….
  
  What could be improved: there is no parking lot especially when you have a big car and you have to spend a lot of time to find one. that will be impossible when you come back late at night.
