I stayed there during a quieter period in late fall, and what struck me was how the morning light filtered through these decent-sized windows, making the whole space feel bigger than it probably is. The kitchen setup is proper enough that you could actually cook (there’s a real grocery store just a few blocks down Schützenhausstraße), though I’ll be honest – Leipzig’s food scene is good enough that I mostly just used it for morning coffee. The bathroom’s solid, nothing fancy but everything works like it should, and the water pressure was better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at.

What really makes this spot work is the neighborhood itself. Volkmarsdorf has this authentic Leipzig feel without the tourist crowds you get closer to the Marktplatz. There’s this great little café about a ten-minute walk away that locals actually frequent, and you can catch the tram into the city center when you want the full Leipzig experience – the opera house, all those incredible churches, the whole deal. The 7.6 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury, but it hits that sweet spot where everything just… works. Check-in was straightforward (they send you codes beforehand, very German-efficient), and honestly, for the price point, you’re getting a lot more space and character than you’d find in some cookie-cutter chain hotel. Just pack light if you’re coming by train – there’s a tiny bit of a walk with luggage, but nothing terrible.

  What could be improved: Die Küche war zu klein . Ich habe eine Terasse
  erwartet. Es waren sehr viele Spinnen da.
  Es waren nicht viele Sportsaktivitäten da.

  Die Wohnung ist schlicht und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, es ist alles da was man braucht.
  Wir waren sechs Personen (zwei Erwachsene , zwei Teenager, ein Kind und ein Baby) und es war genügend Platz für. Babybett und Hochstuhl wurden zur Verfügung gestellt. Badetücher wurden uns auf Anfrage nachgeliefert. Die innenstadt ist mit der Straßenbahn innerhalb von 20 Minuten erreichbar. Bistros sind in der Nähe zu finden. Eine Querstraße weiter ist ein kleiner Lebensmittelmarkt.
  Einen Parkplatz haben wir immer in der Straße gefunden.
  
  What could be improved: Zwei Gardinen waren nicht mehr befestigt, für den optischen Zweck könnte das geändert werden.
  Es war sauber, dennoch wäre eine Grundreinigung für alle Räume angebracht.

  Die Wohnung ist hell, schlicht aber bedarfsgerecht eingerichtet und für vier Personen gut geeignet.
  Mehrere Straßenbahnlinien in unmittelbarer Umgebung.
  
  What could be improved: Die Matratze des Doppelbettes war durchgelesen, zu weich.
  Es fehlt ein großer Spiegel im Flur oder Schlafzimmer, außerdem ein paar Bügel mehr und Eierbecher.
  Lage gewöhnungsbedürftig, da zum Teil etwas heruntergekommene Häuser in naher Umgebung.

  Tolle Ausstattung. Alles da was man braucht. Tolle Betten. Für uns persönlich super Lage. Schön ruhig, dennoch nah an Eisenbahnstraße und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Schnell mit Tram in Innenstadt!
