I mean, Connewitz isn’t exactly where most tourists end up – it’s got this artsy, slightly rebellious vibe that’s honestly refreshing after dealing with Leipzig’s more polished center.

The apartment itself is pretty straightforward – two rooms that work well if you’re traveling with someone and don’t want to be on top of each other the whole time. Nothing fancy, but everything’s clean and functional in that German way where things just… work. The kitchen’s small but you can actually cook in it (I made pasta one night and didn’t want to throw anything out the window, which is saying something). What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Connewitz can get lively, especially around the Karl-Liebknecht-Straße area, but this particular stretch of Brandstraße stays pretty mellow. You’ll hear the occasional tram rumbling by, but it’s more comforting than annoying.

Honestly, the location grows on you. At first I thought we were too far from everything, but then you realize you’re actually perfectly placed. There’s this great little bakery about a five-minute walk away that does proper German bread – none of that tourist stuff – and if you head toward Connewitzer Kreuz, you’ll find some seriously good Vietnamese food and quirky bars that locals actually go to. The S-Bahn connection is solid too; you can get to Leipzig Hauptbahnhof in about fifteen minutes, which means day trips are totally doable. Parking was easier than I expected – street parking isn’t too brutal if you know the rules, though I’d recommend asking the host about it beforehand. The check-in was smooth, no drama, though the building entrance is a bit tricky to spot if you’re arriving after dark. Overall, it’s one of those places that delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. Perfect if you want to experience Leipzig like someone who actually lives there, rather than just passing through.

Hotel in Leipzig booking should be done early, especially during Bach Festival season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed classical music performances.

  I chose this place because of the location. I enjoyed the kitchen facilities, the outside common yard is nice too if you catch a sunny day, there are stores nearby and great places to eat. Bed was also conformable. I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

  Perfekte Wohnung um ein paar Tage in Leipzig zu verweilen. Die Küche war ausreichend ausgestattet. Man kann sogar waschen, wenn man Mal länger bleiben sollte. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Klein aber fein 🙂

  Es war alles wunderbar, die Kommunikation hat super funktioniert und Wohnung und Lage (nahe Tram) waren für meine Zwecke sehr gut. Ich war beruflich in Leipzig, dementsprechend viel unterwegs. In der Wohnung konnte ich gut zur Ruhe kommen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat absolut gepasst.
